No, not a collector, I was just having a clear out so put a few on sale. I knew the D&G was rare but didn't think anything about the Romance. I was a bit surprised when it sold so well - it's discontinued too. It does smell good, soft as anything. Versace black Jeans was my favourite but they are all copies now, if I could buy a few bottles I would but you just can't trust them.

The best way to get into penhaligons is to start with their scent libraries, you get five 5ml bottles each a different one.

Same with fragrance du Bois, the 100ml bottles are £595 the 15ml bottles are £115, which is still very expensive. But it really is fantastic stuff.

I’ve actually found I prefer buying smaller bottles of aftershave/perfume as it allows you to try out lots of different ones and have different scents.

My taste is different to most people's, I think. At least for myself. I'm drawn to sweeter perfumes.

On men, I tend to remember what men whose, ahem, company I particularly enjoy wear. And get a bit hot under the collar when I smell it again.

" No, not a collector, I was just having a clear out so put a few on sale.

Yeah I get what mean it’s the gucci envy one was about £40, but it’s discontinued people selling for £££s

Last time I saw Gucci Envy it was £150 a bottle. Never understood why they discontinued it...."

I’ve never understood it myself or why they reformulate them m, like Aventus really suck now because of the reformulation

"I had a girlfriend in my teens who would wear a body lotion she called 'fuzzy peach' when she was feeling horny and only when she was feeling horny! This quickly trained me to be extra attentive when I smelt it on her. It wasn't particularly nice but it still has a profound effect on me to this day! I wish I knew exactly what it was. "
