I'm really not sure why people do this, they'll ready a message or in some cases not read (or read but then mark as unread) and then send a friend request.

Half the time not even having their own private pics ..

Is it just me or that just a bit annoying ?

Given all they have to go on from your profile is your avatar pic and one word - it's probably to get a look at your friends only pics and decide if they'd be interested in chatting some more
