"Man Utd fan the football is not entertaining.Jose whinging and moaning since pre season hasn’t helped but at the same time Pogba and Lukaku should be doing more they are two most expensive players in the history of Man Utd." Surely the manager has lost the dressing room then? His press conferences sound like he wants the sack so why haven’t they? United are light years away from City and Liverpool at the moment although it wouldn’t take much to get back there. Just a new manager and a pile of cash.

He has lost the dressing room...Have you noticed that teams above us are getting youth players in the first 11 and they doing well but the oldies which united are stuck with are not. It happened to Germany at the World Cup! Despite this Mourinho will still insist on slagging off our youth for making mistakes and not players like Sanchez Lukaku Matic who should know better !

In his first season he finished 6th but won the Leauge cup and Europa League. If he wants a 4th season at Utd he should consider it our board are only concerned about qualifying for the Champions league that’s why he got the job in the first place.Like a lot of Utd fans I think he should go at the end of the season.

"I just love the fact that most of the Man Utd fans are glory hunters who live miles away. They aren't winning, in fact they have been rubbish for ages which is why it is mainly middle aged guys who are complaining. COYS - we may not have won anything for ages but we play great football and we thrashed Chelsea today and Man Utd at home. I hope Jose stays until the end of his contract and beyond - wow you are dull!" correct me if I’m wrong but hasn’t Jose won more than your club in the 2 years he’s been at utd than yous have won in 50 years

Playing style is bollocks really." Even I, as a Liverpool supporter, recognise Man United had a style. Attacking flair, clinical finishing, great use of wing play. Fast breaking forward. Relentless pressure based on appropriate pressing, possession and dogged defensive qualities throughout the team. It’s a very long time, even before Fergie retired, since they have played that way. United to become great again needs to rediscover ‘why’ they they play football

" Mourinho has tried everything from shaming them in public , to dropping them , and nothing works . He’s had five strikers playing in some games , yet they can’t get a single shot on target . " He's tried everything other than taking personal responsibility and acknowledging that nobody wants to play in, or watch, team with his tactics.

However when you see Lukaku , Sanchez , Rashford , Martial and Lingard in the same line up , how is it possible to not be playing attacking football ? This isn’t even a one off , there are plenty of times they play with what seems like a very attacking eleven . Perhaps he has lost the dressing room , probably to Pogba , who will no doubt be gone at Christmas . But if you listen to Drogba , Ibrahimovic , and Hazard , Mourinho is a fantastic manager , and he has a great record . Who could do better ?

" His style demands two high quality Center backs, which he doesn't believe he has. So he pulls in defensive support from the rest of the team to cover players that he believes aren't up to the job. He wanted to buy Center backs in the summer and was denied because he's already spent £300m and they've got fuck all to show for it.

"U just got wrong manager ..next season u will have zz as your manager" Think you are deluded there and mourinho will be going nowhere. Has the full backing of the owners . Pogba will be the first to go. Why would Zidane want to take over at the helm to a bunch of losers. He just left Madrid after winning the champions league 3 seasons in a row.

Sport is part of people's regional identity and far more people support other teams rather than just winners. I suppose it is a lot to do with attending events rather than just sitting in an armchair and feeling an identity with your fellow supporters. We attend lots of sports including the NBA and surely it is the atmosphere and togetherness that goes along with that. I am proud that me and my family support non league, league two and the Premier league as we can see players develop rather than just bought and am very proud that the most influential players (Modric and Bale) were nurtured at our club and that we beat them convincingly last season.

" The operative word was "consistently". Since american sports have the incredible draft system, teams don't tend to stay bad for long. The ones that do really have deep problems and frankly aren't worth supporting. Like the Jaguars who had 4 players arrested at a night club at 4am when they had a game later that day. Why the flip would you support a team that doesn't even care!? That's really not so rare. When Stoke got relegated from the Premier League last year, the shit that players were getting away with came out, it's an insult to the fans. I don't understand the British mentality that I'm supposed to support a local club that's bottom of the league because their players can't be arsed, rather than look for an attractive alternative that actually enjoy watching.

I think that's changing and only middle aged blokes argue about supporting your local team. Kids support whoever they like. Plus there's been so much immigration not everyone is so attached to the local area as they used to be.

" I think that's changing and only middle aged blokes argue about supporting your local team. Kids support whoever they like. Plus there's been so much immigration not everyone is so attached to the local area as they used to be. " I sort of do support my local team. Mainly because the parking facilities at most clubs are so terrible that I couldn't be arsed to drive any further than I have to and can catch a bus to the madejski stadium. But I'm a casual fan, we'll go when they have games worth watching (e.g. when they had that good run in the FA cup that ended at the semi finals against arsenal). I'm not paying to watch a chronically mismanaged business compete at the arse end of table for the right to have another season fighting the same battle.
