This is going to sound so stupid but I still have a teddy that was given to me the day I was born - Goldilocks. When my kids were born I brought in the teddy to the hospital and took the same photos

Under the Duvet

I found my tiny tears recently in my mum's garage.

Looking at her now, it's safe to say she's a pretty hideous dolly (I think I may have given her a hair cut at some stage, which didn't help)... but I couldn't throw her out.

I have two. A lamb (Larry) who belonged to my cousin who sadly passed away just after I was born and a teddy I got as a baby (brown teddy). I wasn't very imaginative as a child in terms of names!

I have loads of teddies including one that was bought for me when I was born that was always know as Sitting Down Ted. Well it still is called that also it’s always been gender neutral for some reason too. My latest is an, as yet, nameless unicorn which was a birthday present.

Yes and no. I borrow the gf's when I need to sleep in the spare room. Strictly for comfort though and no names. Giving names encourages attachment which can lead to heart ache and thus the reason I wont name pets.

Eric the horse. He ended up coming back with me after a wild night out in Cambridge/Newmarket about 15 years ago. Even got in a fight over him in Newmarket as someone tried to steal him. He has moved round with me and lived with me ever since in my bedroom.

I have a fair few.

Though my favourites are Bram the bat, who's a tiny bat teddy that I got from Whitby Abbey on my birthday last year who lives on my headboard. I also have a Stitch (as in Lilo And...) who lives in my bed and has done so since Christmas 2011.

I threw mine in the skip last weekend. My Mum said I should of kept her for my grandchildren to play with!......Hoping I'm years of having grandchildren.

I do have a teddy bear called Brownie who is 37 yrs old. I remember being given him for when I was going into hospital.

Hiding in the shadows

My godmother gave me my first teddy, I lost him when I was 37.

Stuff in storage while having building work done & there was a fire.

I didn't care about the furniture, the clothes, that's just stuff. But my teddy, and albums of family photos, I cried for weeks.

My sons bought me a fluffy sheep, Minty, fhr the next birthday. He gets my bed time cuddles now

We still have foxy, he very old. A fox dressed in full Scotish attire. He was my grandparents and he is a family heirloom. Well not sure if he's a fox or a bear or an animal with an identity confusion. We have all called him foxy since I can remember and we have all known him as a fox. But after my Grandma died someone said something that blew our minds. One of the family said 'are we sure hes a fox'. We all looked at them like . Anyway they went on to explain he has the facial features more like a bear. It was a controversial revelation, he has always been foxy. We could see their point but then the rest of his body more resembles a fox than the archetypal teddy bear. So we don't know anymore, he's foxy to us and we love him however he identifies. He now lives pride of place on the mantle piece in the centre of the front room. Sadly he is too delicate for the kids to play with.

We have LOADS of soft toys!

Including SS's childhood teddy bear that he accidentally left out in the garden after his sixth birthday party. It rained and when he was found the next day his squeak had gone.

He was rediscovered when we were clearing SS's dad's house when he downsized. Ted had been put at the back SS's mum's wardrobe (she had died a few years earlier) with a Sooty toy that SS had bought for his sister when she was born (he was 11).

Ted is now on our bedside table, he's lost a lot of his fur and he never got his squeak back.
