Accident ... Sadness (had to share, sorry) :*)

I have just passed through an accident whereby a lorry had gone on its side on a small roundabout. Police, ambulance everywhere.

Couldn't see if there was a car under the lorry, and not sure I want to know...

When I reached my destination safely, I got indoors and cried. I don't normally respond like this, but I had a dream last night involving my own death in an accident

Psychological brain does things to us which can't be explained ... But today I wish I hadn't seen it because now I feel really sad

Have a cup of tea and a biscuit. Your nightmare will have made it all feel worse. x

E.K . Glasgow

It’s good to let it out sometimes even to strangers I hope you have someone close to share with . What happened has nothing to do with your dream although it seems that way . If you’ve no one to speak to call any of the helplines you can if you feel the need . Stress hits us all in different ways with different triggers . Take care .

Do not dwell on that which you cannot change.

Cheer up, count your blessings that it wasn't you or someone you know.

Psychological brain needs keeping under control or it will wreck your life.

As the military put it "Shit happens, deal with it, move on, don't carry baggage into the rest of your life".

Probably the most sensible recommendation that will appear on here today. Well said.

I'm sure that it did, I normally think any accidents are sad but they don't normally get to me x

It's rare seeing an accident has that effect on me but sometimes it jsut does.

You can't help how it makes you feel.

Last time for me was after a long drive with lots of crashes.. but the last accident there was clearly a baby seat in the car.. never did find out anything but decided as it never made the news that there can't have been any fatalities.

But I did get home and cry as that day we had passed 9 accidents x ( it had snowed)

Thank you ... I will be fine, it was just awful to see though ... But as SteelHeels said, my dream last night compacted it

Big hugs.

When I was 14, we were on holiday and I saw a guy die on the beach. My Dad tried to save him but he couldnt. I cried for days.

He sat me down and had a good chat to me about it.

Be grateful for your family and friends and cry it out if you have to.

Look after yourself. X

That's a bit harsh lol, things like this don't normally get to me, but my dream last night was awful and I do have stress going on in life, but I won't be letting it ruin my life, just wanted to share it out loud.

Apologies.

Oh wow, that must have been terrible.

I'm grateful for everything in my life, even the bad stuff, because it means I am living my life

Thanks though, I will do

I've had similar happen to me. It felt like the dream had been a premonition and it could have really happened. I usually feel better the next day after I've slept again. It seems to re-set the feeling. Big hugs from me.

It was. His wife and son were screaming and crying.

Sadly it happens and there isnt anything we can do about it. We just have to find ways to deal with it.

Treat yourself to something nice and try to keep your mind busy with other things. Easier said than done I know. X

I drive along a route that has more than its fair share of fatal accidents on my way to and from work. I don't usually even think about it but recently a motorcyclist was killed along there and every time I pass it I think about him. I've no idea why because I didn't know him or anything about him. Sometimes something just affects you.

Try saying that to all the soldiers with PTSD.

Yeah shit happens but sometimes it’s harder to deal with
