It all depends !

I would suggest doing your homework before meeting any potential playmate and gauging it for yourself.

If we have met at someone elses home we do tend to take a couple of decent bottles - red and white and wouldnt always expect to be offered them to drink on the night - more a gift for the person/couple for them to enjoy at a later date.

If we are meeting someone at their house we always take something, be it desert, wine, chocolates etc. but I think its because we are just that way, we always take something to our vanilla friends houses too (apart from the ones we are round alot lol)

if someone bought me a bottle of wine etc I would accept it with good graces and feel that they made the effort and are thoughtful and definitely thank them. if they didn't bring it I wouldn't think about it I don't consider it rude not to, just very nice when it is done.

I don't expect a gift, but it is appreciated.

The gifts that mean the most are the silly 1's. The three that jump to mind are a box of cream cakes, ice lollies, and a book. Not all from the same person.

But what made me really appreciate them, was the fact that each item was brought up in random conversation before the meet.

Though you can never go wrong with flowers (supermarket, last longer), wine (red for me) or vodka (glens, I dont like any other kind, gives me a hangover).

Just incase anyone wants to bring me a gift.

Wouldn't expect it and wouldn't appreciate it either. If I play with someone its because as a couple we are in agreement with that.

Some men get the idea that if they bring something they are onto a definite play session and its not the case. And I also don't want strangers buying me gifts.

If it was a party we would turn up with a bottle because we don't expect the hosts to provide alcohol or food for us and its a contribution. We don't drink so neither of us would be drinking it.

Most men feel its polite to bring a woman a small gift, but there are men who have a different perception and expectation. Until you've met you can't guage what kind of man he is.

have never thought about this until now! And funny enough have never had one! Though the people i have meet in hotels have always paid and when i was invited to the social he paid for me all night! Which was nice! I think i wouldnt mind a gift but would have no idea what to get for a guy unless it was something to use on me! Xx lol

Yes thats true, though I think theres a difference between lingerie (and his response afterwards) and a small 'token' gift.

Id actually prefer no gift at all personally, unless it was someone that I met regularly and classed as friends socially, but even then I would certainly never expect it.

The best I have had was a meet I had a a year ago where I turned up to a lovely house with wine, ice cream and chocolates. My parents always bought a gift when visiting friends and family. It's something I do, and my daughters too.

Therefore I do find it "odd" if someone visits my home where they're fed, watered, shagged and showered after rumpling my sheets, empty handed...they tend not to get a second invite.

I agree with those gentlemen who bring a gift. The gift should be appropriate I think. Turning up to 1st social meet with whips, handcuffs and gimp mask is a little over the top.

When invited round for coffee during the day I have taken biscuits (also Midget gems as the lady expressed a liking for them). Meeting in the evening I have taken wine, agree with other posters in that i do not expect it to be cracked open for me to drink with them. I have even taken round Throat pastilles when a "play" meet was changed to a social due to the "playee" having a sore throat.

I think that if someone is inviting you into their home a little token of appreciation is a must.

I am old school in that respect when i was a lot younger I often used to take the mother of a girl I was dating Chocolates or flowers (never did get to shag her though...the daughter or mother that is hahaha)
