Toothpaste on first then wet it.

The only reason why I do it is because that's how my parents taught me to do it, I've never thought to do it any other way.

"Electric toothbrush, paste, brush teeth, use water to clean brush and then rinse mouth!"

You shouldn’t rinse your mouth.

Just spit out the toothpaste but don’t rinse. You should let the toothpaste stay on your teeth.

That’s what my dentist said anyway.

And then it goes into its little case that it came with when I bought it so it doesn't get dirty.

Keep tap off till it's time to wash brush!

It's recommended you brush for 2-3 minutes... that's a lot of water going down the plughole.

Come on...own up, who leaves the tap running while they brush?

This is what Dentists are saying these days. After spitting out the toothpaste, DO NOT RINSE. Instead, by leaving the residue in your mouth allows it to assist the after cleaning care especially last thing at night.

In the morning, brush first before you do anything else as it removes more plaque etc.

Quite right Iain. Also the use of interdental brushes are very good. Helps to keep plaque at bay.

pretty much everything we clean we use hot water , brushing teeth we all seem to use cold , i use hot.

also they say you shouldnt rinse your mouth as the toothpaste is still working on your teeth and gums for a few hours after in the nooks and crannies.

i treat my teeth like a glass as opposed to a mirror i,e you only polish the front of a mirror but both sides of a piece of glass

finally only use electric 2 or 3 times a week as i feel it wears the gums and teeth out to a certain extent. alternate between manual and electric .

My dentist said i should rinse after cleaning because otherwise some of the bad stuff (that iv brushed off my teeth) stays inside my mouth and goes back on my teeth.
