8 Bedrooms? We used to keep our hamster in an 8 bedroom house! Our house had 15 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 6 jacuzzis and 19 saunas - and that was just on the ground floor!

We had a lovely SA childminder/friend. I joined FAB just before her last visit to UK & it was during her visit (staying at my house) that I started posting on the late night thread. She’s living in Dubai now. I miss her a lot.

I have no desire to live in a big house. I love small cosy houses with character, set in a sizeable garden rurally

My childhood home was a good learning curve, as it had been in the family for generations - impractical and too big. I prefer small and cosy with the estate used for beautiful gardens.

...Up on the Downs

On of the best cottages I lived in came with free use of the squash court, the tennis court, the swimming pool, free stable and grazing for my horse, and a nice hunter for my chums to ride out with me on!

I'd far rather have that than guest rooms and unused bathrooms!!

5 bed, 3 bathrooms, 2 fitted kitchens, 2 living rooms, 3 stories. It was me and the ex wifes first home we bought over 10 years ago. It was a huge house for just the two of us and was great for parties with loads of space for people to crash overnight.

It's not a fancy house, it a was originally ment to a 2 bed flat and a 3 bed flat. I kept it as one big house and rent it out to a lovely large family for whome its ideal.

Grade two listed, 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (including the annex)in 17 acres.

Lovely property but very expensive to run. Luckily just rented so easy to just move on to something more affordable to run. Heating bill was out of this world
