Am seriously considering having my lady garden waxed for a longer lasting smoothness but OMG how much would it hurt to have done

Any waxers out there willing to give an honest answer please

Exfoliate & trim first. I don’t find it at all painful. Legs are worse!!

It’s uncomfortable but done quickly it’s fine. I chat to my waxer to distract me from the pain. And it doesn’t take long.

Makes me feel absolutely sick! The effects are great but I can’t stand it so have gone back to shaving and just get the sides waxed

Depends what kind of wax you are having? Bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood?

I have a Brazilian and yes it hurts a bit but once it's done, it's done.

Once you’ve done it a few times it doesn’t hurt at all, the results are totally worth it! Just growing it back to have it done again is the downside

I've been waxing over 10 years and it's not to bad. I find having my eye brows shaped worst.

Good luck.

Surprised there's no white knight male waxer that's shown up yet, offering his low pain waxing style.

I suppose it's different for everyone, apparently I have a high pain threshold, gave birth twice naturally and will sit through hours of tattooing but waxing? Nope can't do it, actually leaves me shaking from the pain! Not to put you off or anything

For your first time ever, it can definitely be eye watering. But then each time you get it done it gets much easier.

By the time you’ve been doing it several months then it’s a breeze.

Don’t have it done before your period (if you have one) as it’s too sensitive and painful, always straight after if at all possible. Once you start having it done then don’t let it over grow as it’s less painful when it’s short.

Think that about covers it!

i can’t stand waiting for the length to go back! Switched to laser treatment and love it: no more problems and smooth.

It's not painless but it's over in a flash and the result is definitely worth it! Try and get a good waxer who'll pull the skin nice and tight, helps against pain and bruising

Trim to say 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch if longer might hurt

I changed to waxing recently and absolutely love the long lasting results! Yes first time was the worst but it just gets easier and less grows there now. My waxer uses hot wax and this will capture even the shortest hairs so no need to wait for much regrowth. And the best thing about it is not having to spend ages in the shower shaving and contorting into some strange positions! Do it, you won't regret it! And best tip, take a couple of paracetamol first xxx

Hollywood here and been having it done for years. Definitely finer over the years and it's more uncomfortable than painful.
