Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Apparently we'll be getting some bad weather as last of the hurricane ends up over here.

My question is this: how will we know?

Hull

The weather forecaster on our local BBC TV News programme highlighted this warning on last night's show.

It is likely to hit the UK on Sunday afternoon and into the evening. It is the tail end of the hurricane that hit the USA recently.

In terms of strength, it's adjusting all the time as it approaches the UK, so it's just the case of keeping tabs on the weather forecasts.

I hope it adjusts on a downward scale instead of upwards then

I have already added the recommended storm guys to my tent, and have used very good pegs for all the load-bearing guys.

So I am prepared!

If worse comes to the worst, me and the dog will sleep in the car, as we have done so in the past during a very stormy July!

He seems to be better at coping with the wind and the noise this year. Perhaps he can be a tough hardy dog and true to his breed afterall.

The wind has certainly picked up last night, and it rained nearly all morning.

Hopefully, it will brighten up later today.

I have newspaper to read, FAB to entertain me, and DVDs to watch if nothing tickles my fancy.

I love camping, even if the weather is bad!

Yep, sunny here at the moment, and gusty wind.

Supposed to hit Scotland tomorrow night, after crossing NI.

Gale force winds and 50' waves!

Batten down the hatches I think!!
