I do and I talk to them regularly. Their profile says straight but to some of them straight means they like men as they are now female. Guess it's an individual thing?

This is.entirely dependant as to whether you're talking about TVs or transwomen, a transwoman will call herself straight if she likes men as she is a woman, or a lesbian if she likes women. A TV that says they're straight but likes men is not straight

Although shows like these are educational and helps understand our world, it can feel a bit like an obsessive circus show.

In this day and age,ignorance of anything is a choice so he should have understood that the term 'TGirl' is not widely considered to mean post op TS women but I still think this was a case of incompetence rather than malice.

BTW, I think the aesthetic results depend to a great extent on the brilliance of the surgeon,as I alluded to earlier.
