What are you doing for Christmas ?

This year (2009) we are doing very little - cutting back to the bone - not because we are mean but because we want to return Christmas back to what it was - a simple ceremony to celebrate the birth of Christ ... a nice 'traditional Christmas'

Then we will go to Beamish Museum, who have a wonderful 'Edwardian Christmas' complete with carol singers and chestunt sellers - a real trip down memory lane, even though we are too young to remember it ..

Yes Christmas is less than 6 months away and will be here before we know it

So guys ....

What will you be doing for Christmas ?

im going out at 1pm tomor, meeting all my buds in the pub, gonna get shedded, lol then on monday ( my birthday) i will be in bed dieing, cuz i will have drank to much sunday lol..

Think we are possibly going away this year - a few family deaths around xmas last year so it won't be the same without them

i wanna find a log cabin, a big fire with a rug in front.

snow all crisp and lovely outside the door so i can do a snow angel if i want.

a gorgeous young man lying nekid on me rug and all the provisions we need and no mention of christmas at all.

As nice as that sounds (except for the bloke bit, i'd make a slight alteration there ), christmas is about family for me. I love seeing my sisters kids open their presents, and the occasional humdinger of a gift that you think up once in a while for the adults (even made my Mum cry the other year with one)

Then again, I could be tempted by the right offer to change that

cooking christmas dinner for all the family as usual,

but this year putting it in car, then taking it to daughters only a mile away so grandkids dont have to leave there new toys

my husband died at christmas time so i take the kids away so that we dont have to think about being at home without him

Bloody hell ! I'm a real old humbug and am not a big fan of Xmas, but those couple of lines brought tears to my eyes.... tell me it isn't true ..... that is so, so sad - and I'm not taking the piss on this occasion

Being a bit bah humbug, i dont do xmas, the whole being happy n jolley on that day, really puts me in a mood, so i wil do wat i do every yr, NOTHING. Stuart on the other hand, does the xmas thing, n he goes 2 his folks n sees his neices n nephews.

I love Christmas...I cant sleep on Christmas Eve. Get up about 4am start the christmas dinner, had 20 people her last year, then start christmas breakfast, pull the teenagers out of bed kicking and screaming to open presents...love it love it love it.
