Have you considered being more vocal on anti-racism social platforms?

It's good that your highlighting the problem but I'm the active membership here is quite small when compared to some of the big national anti racism campaigners.

I have experienced racism from black people living in my own country, funny how its not taken serious when a white person is on the receiving end of it.

Yeah theyres a lot of closet gays, closet religious, closet nice people, closet non rascists, closet singers ( especially closet singers - have you been to a KARAOKE bar lately )

The problem is deciding which particular minority to have a chip on your shoulder about.

We live in mid wales but come from the south,we have never seen racism as bad as it is here,the only time they are interested in anything coloured is when they are pissed and go to the indian/kebab house

Its very easy to criticise another nation and its people when all you ever see is what the (mostly) biased media chooses to show the world.

The reality is very much different. A couple of years ago I lived in a very multicultural area. There is a co-op supermarket right next door to an Asian supermarket and across the road from a polish supermarket. There are people of all ethnic backgrounds living next to each other who, for the most part, all get on well together.

I've never known such a great community spirit anywhere else.

No I've educated myself on islam, so have no issues with a Muslim walking down the street! Where as halal slaughter, child marriage, controlling women and sharia law plus other barbaric practices of Islam worry me when they are becoming increasingly accepted in the UK.

Let me guess you're source of knowledge... the media lol the same source which created the word islamaphobia...

There are twats in all forms of life... halal slaughter is the same as kosher meat slaughter.. it's killed the same way, controlling women... have you ever stopped and asked a Muslim women if she is being controlled... how can you make such a big statement without any stats... child marriage? If any cases are found in this country they are getting locked up simples! And as to shariah law... shariah is actually a way of life if not living in a Muslim country... I have Muslim friends who respect our way of life and say it is our first rule in sharia... obey they law of the land we live in.

One thing I will say about the U.K. You guys allow hate speech in public , and that's very liberal of your government.

The last time I visited London , I saw a big rally of Muslim saying some pretty bad things about the U.K and its government. This was before britex .....it was lots of press there and along with lots of police....

I walked away and said to myself if it this was America these guys would be arrested for hate speech and threatening anarchy...

Nothing you have stated equates to facts... nothing! It is based on a small number of cases not the majority. You sound like a typical EDL or Britain first member... women are abused in all races and religions... it's called domestic violence... I fail to see the point of this thread. Most English/british people are emotional cowards and struggle to come to terms with hatred/discrimination of any kind. Its all equally pathetic. I find the Trump phenomenon quite hilarious and find there to be alot of merit to many of the areguments made by Brexiteers.

What I cant stand is phoniness. I cant stand when I am talking to a white person who sits there with a straight face and tells me that they have never had a racist thought, racist friends or racist colleagues. And I find that opinion worryingly frequent. Of all the people I have worked with, I actually found the more "rough around the edges" types to be the ones easiest to get along with. I can tolerate some casual prejudice here and there, its the repression and political correctness which actually drives me up the wall.

Well, kinda no. I know the left is a easy source of hate (I mean, who likes the typical Guardianista) but it would be foolish to imply that they're exclusively responsible for the abuse of power by the elite. I was watching a great speech by Milo Yiannopolous in which he stated that the left/right paradigm has become outdated and it seems to be shifting further and further to an argument between authoritarians and libertarians (and to be honest I dont political grouping of any kind).

The only person who has not picked up a history book is probably you. You only need to look at the likes of Pol Pot, Hitler, Mao and Stalin to realize you dont need a religion to commit genocide. .

Well then you're shifting the goalposts now. The definition of organised religion has a pretty specific set of criteria. Lionization of particular figures is nothing to do with religion and seems to be a mainstay of the human condition. Hence why, despite our secularism, people still choose to deify the rich and famous. You're essentially conflating the very human need to follow great people of power, ideology and influence with sins of organised religion. Removing the latter will do nothing to quell the human appetite for death and destruction. It is naive to think so. As said, you're most likely just regurgitating popular opinion which demonizes religion and religiosity. A lot of the time the historical bases of said opinions dont hold up to scrutiny.

I don't need to demonize religions they do that themselves, I'm just pointing it out.

There's no great human need to follow people of power, you clearly no nothing about religious history or animal nature.

It's not shifting in any goal posts at all, go back and read what I wrote, all religions are in effect cults of one form or another no different to Mao or North Korea like I said, they have theocratic values at heart, they all claim various ways of knowing what's best for everybody despite the vast human variance.

It all depends "bloody foreigners" lol it really isn't black or white it's like saying all english people with a light pigment that all matches all are this or that. For example my grandfather italian immigrant, very successful and a man with literally zero footprint left, then my father also an immigrant and successful but because of the religious community he's apart of! A generally disgusting human being, who has many illegitimate spawn.
