I think they're generally aweful for the environment and I prefer filter coffee anyway.

I don't have one as I actually don't mind instant coffee anyway. But I hammer the Nespresso machines in hotels

We have a Bosh Tassimo and we love it. Hubby and the kids have had a variety of coffees and i love the hot chocolate.

We tend to buy the pods when they are on offer or in bulk via Amazon.

One of our fave buys

It only heats the exact amount of water needed for each drink.

Have a Nescafé Dolce Gusto and I bloody love the thing. Waking up in the morning and just flicking a switch for a coffee to go is great. No waiting around for the kettle to boil, and lovely frothy heads on cappucinos

I have a Dolce gusto machine. It makes a decent cup of coffee and there's a large variety of different kinds to buy.

It bothers me that the pods are not recyclable but I reduce my carbon footprint in other ways.

I looked at them but it seems wasteful and expensive. Plus only some you can get a widget that allows to use your own coffee.

I have a delonghi espresso machine and I love it. It has a smaller boiler inside that means not too much water is heated up, and it has a proper milk steamer (not just a frother).

Mind you, I also have an aeropress, a drip coffee maker, and I make cold brew... So... Might be a bit of a nerd.

My coffee loving partner got bought a coffee pod machine years ago by his parents, but says he doesn't really like it and wishes he had a normal espresso machine. He finds it wasteful, expensive, and restrictive.

I've a Philips Senseo machine

No plastic nastiness in pods; it users a filter type "pad" that's fully biodegradable

I get my pads from Holland, and there is a great choice and variety at a great price

At home I grind my own beans and have a DeLonghi espresso machine and steamer. I used to have a stovetop one but save that for camping trips these days. I bought a Nespresso Aeroccino for work and have reusable pods for it so I can use my own blend and everyone else in my team has their own pods. It's normally me who ends up cleaning it and washing all the mugs though. Buggers.

No, just a bunch of moaning minnies who used to spend a fortune on coffee shop coffee. I persuaded them all to chip in, cleared a space in the office to put it and we pretty much saved the cost back the first month we used it.

There are places you can take the used pods to and they are recycled and raise money for charity.

I was given a pod thing for work.

It gets used every other morning for an espresso or two.

At home I have a proper ground coffee espresso machine.

Best of both worlds, if you're interested is a type of compressed teabag-style paper espresso pod called ESE pods. They are convenient with no mess or plastic waste.

You can also get some refillable pods if you're interested in waste reduction.
