That's not a late age, I had to have the op at age 30! Once it had healed and stopped hurting it was swings and roundabouts for me. Some inevitable loss of sensation in the head, but my libido increased and I found I could last longer. I also think it's better looking and easier to keep clean, but I'd not advocate having it done for anything other than medical reasons.

In fairness I don't think you can quite compare the genital mutilation of women, with circumcision.

In women it is done for sexual gratification of their husband/prospective husband. Usually requiring many invasive surgeries over the years to keep it "tight". And I use the term "surgery" lightly, as I'm not sure a fish hook and someone's "mate" can be classed as a surgeon. These women often spend their lives constantly bleeding, in pain, and stooped over because the stitching is repetitively too tight..

give me circumcision for cleanliness/religion or medical grounds any day.

I actually find it quite absurd that the two have been compared.

only major row myself and my american husband had, he was for, not on religious grounds..on the grounds he had been told repeatedly it was cleaner and healthier.
