Dear chums

Sat hear listening to Simple Minds , In The City Of Light .

A rather splendid album.

The track Alive and kicking reminds me of a wonderful friend and a past summer long gone by.

So what's your favourite live album or favourites even as I have a few notable ones

Even if some get a little bit of remastering in the studio later

Taff & Pooch

Live In The City of Light is a GREAT live album. Recently re-discovered it after being fortunate enough to get invited to the Acoustic gig at the Hackney Empire week before last.

Lots of post-production and overdubs, so not strictly a true live album, but captures them at their best.

Agree with The Wonder Stuff. I'm glad that after the original line up reformed the result was such an impressive recording. There are numerous TWS and Miles Hunt live CDs around but this is by far the best.

The most brilliant live album i've ever heard is "One More From The Road" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. For a live album it's very well recorded, but the songs on it have you bopping around from start to finish. Plus of course THE best version of "Freebird" you will ever listen to.
