Only one or two - "what difference does it make" & "how soon is now"

Bit of trivia - I used to work opposite "Salford lads club" as on the cover of The Queen is dead album

Yeah radcliffe and lauren laverne play my kinda tunes.

Smiths were a bit flowery for me when they were around. Like most artists though, I've tended to appreciate them more the older I get.

I was only joking when I said you should be bludgeoned in your bed!!.

As I've got older I've really learnt to love the smiths, Morrissey's lyrics and singing style are slick while Jonny Mars guitar is sublime..... There a proper band

I've never understood why The Smiths were/are so popular.

Not my cup of tea at all.

The Smiths were the band that most affected me when I was a teenager, perfect coming together of intelligent, witty lyrics and great music.

Morrissey has rather lost me in the last decade or so though, the music is just so pedestrian...

Hate, though weather it's just Morrissey and his voice or just the sole sucking depression of the songs that make me want to slit my wrists I couldn't say.

Love The Smiths and Johnny Marr's solo stuff, but Morrissey's post-Smiths stuff.... yawn.

Loathed them with a passion back in the day but like others have said I've come to appreciate them more the older I've got.

The best band ever as far as we are concerned. Our first dance when we got married was Cemetary Gates.

As much as Morrissey is a massive twerp, he is an amazing lyricist and Marr's guitar takes some beating.

For all the swingers: "There's a club, if you'd like to go, you could meet somebody who really loves you..... But you go, and you stand on your own, and you leave on your own....and you go home, and you cry and you want to die......"

They've grown on me too. I never quite got them on account of Mozza's miserable lyrics. They're a bloody great bunch of musicians though and I guess everyone needs an Eeyore in their gang. I don't mind them so much anymore.

6Music for the win. Who needs TV?

They're ok,I like some and not keen on others, but I can see how they would inspire some to almost religous devotion. My mid 80' tastes were usually louder and heavier.
