...Up on the Downs

I'm a bit of swimmer, sometimes go 3 or 4 times week, 1 or 2 at the moment. I do all my best thinking while I'm swimming....or mucking out horses.

My ex, yes. I love it but I'm crap at it.

I just like perving on the male swimmers during the Olympics

Used to do a lot, then stopped.

Now I've just started up again and am absolutely gasping for air after 150m, it's scary stuff!

Prefer being under the surface but had to swim for rescue diver.

Some nice pools and open water to swim in down here though.

I need to get back into swimming....find it a bit boring on my own though and get fed up of double glaces because of my tattoos

My nearest is the gym just round the corner but i have to pay full price!! I don't know where the next one is

Swimming was my sport as a youth. I haven't been much since I had my ileostomy. I have now found a seawater swimming pool near me, so I can go and swim in a wetsuit. I really enjoy it.

Me too up until two or three years ago. Thought it was impossible but got over the fear with goggles in a pool. Can't swim properly but learned to swim underwater on one breath.

Weird feeling when i finally managed to get my head underwater....very calm and peaceful and no particular urgency to go back above water.

I havent been swimming since those lessons with friends tho so would perhaps have to re learn

Learn to dive then fella. There are PADI and Bsac centres all over the place and you need to swim well as you move up levels.

You'll get the best of both worlds...literally
