I keep getting a burning pain across the top of my shoulder. Straight across it the pain isnt actually in the shoulder, had it for weeks, its sparadic any ideas anyone

If its sporadic it could be referred pain. Main cause of referred shoulder pain - especially in the right shoulder - can manifest from gall bladder problems, especially if you get indigestion too.

This is quite correct - acid reflux can cause a sympathetic spasm in the shoulder - I've been told that it feels like an elctric shock.

If you have been doing lots of exercise it could be a Brachial Plexus injury ?

Yeah when I had it it came like a shock but was burning and gnawing. Had gallstones and eventiually one blocked the duct and I had to have gallbladder removed. Its a horrible pain and makes you feel sick as a dog while it lasts.

It could be tension/stress. If I get stressed I get a searing pain in my left shoulder that sometimes runs up my neck... dunno why stress does that to me but it's happened for as long as I can remember!!

Lucky I don't stress very often cus it bloody hurts
