I'm IT guy at a school, but unfortunately I'm one of the two people at school who doesn't get the school holidays... only the usual 31 days a year.

I really enjoyed everyone's excitement, enjoying telling me about what they're doing over the next six weeks (twats ) over the last few days.

On the other hand, it was quiet on Friday with only me and the Caretaker in the building

I used to love breaking up for summer,when I worked in a school. My mind and body felt a huge release of suppression and the world left my shoulders. I did like going back in September though,to meet the new intake and to see who I would be working with.

I'm off - but spending most of my time finishing a couple of Uni assignments and sorting out insurance work that's about to begin after a house fire I had back in December. After that, I need to sort out work for the new term.

When I taught I'd always get I'll the first week of the holidays I guess it was my bodies way of saying I needed a break.

Then I'd still do lessons plans over the break.
