how strict is it in the chat room, i just wen in and was chatting to a guy i was chatting to the other night, he said " get yr cam on" then got banned immedietly wtf, sorry but thats fookin harsh ... i aint goin in there again its bollox .

well i have been kicked off the chat room and i aint telling ya what for...lol

actually am that bored i think i will go on for a laugh now and see how many talent multi tasking guys i can see

The onlt room you can direct in is the directing room surprisingly. In the other rooms you have to be very careful what you say as The Little Hitler that is usually moderating in there really does take himself very seriously and bans for reasons that only he can think of. I sort of say what I want to see in a way that can't be construed as a direction, like, "your other nipple looks really nice covered up like that", or, "doesn't your pussy feel really hot underneath all them clothes?"

You just gotta be a bit more cleverer than the mods in there, which, tbh, isn't that difficult.

It's usually only a 24 hour ban and sometimes just a few hours. It's annoying but they got the power and us mere mortals have to put up with it.

have you seen the amount of whinging threads in the help forum about the mods and chat room bans? It's bizarre.

I'm suprised Admin haven't booted their little Hitler arses into touch but I suppose it's hard to find people that want to wield the power of a 'ban' button

Actually, the chat room on FAB has a rotten reputation across the swinging community.......... thats why the sensible and sane people stick to the forums!!!

I have to say, as a chat room mod myself, banning someone for asking to put a cam on is very harsh.

I have made mistakes before and have emailed person involved to apologise, as we are all human and prone to making mistakes.

It can be very hard sometimes following every conversation to see if people are directing and some comments can be taken out of context. In these situations I will warn and then ban on the second comment but to be fair most people will either apologise or put the comment in context for me.

Comments like "show more tit", "let me see you stroking....." are quite obviously someone directing as well as "is that towel going to fall of any time soon?". These will all lead to bans, sometimes a warning first.

If folk want to sit on cam in state of semi undress then that is their choice but to be then treated like a peice of meet for someone elses self satisfaction (having a tug at the view) is not on. Obviously some will let all the directing comments go over their head but some will take offence by it hence why there is a no directing rule in all rooms except the Directing room.

We tend to mod in scots room but do wander in other rooms occasionally,so please do say Hi, we dont bite and if we do ever make a mistake, mail us and you may well get an apology!

That's a fair enough explanation and thanks for taking the time to come in here and let us know your views. I've taken the excerpt above from your post as I'd like to comment on that part alone.

If this was a normal contact/dating site with cam facilities then I'd agree with the above excerpt 100% but it isn't, it's a swinging site and swinging revolves around sex and highly sexed people. Seeing someone semi-naked on cam and then asking viewers not to comment on what they are looking at is akin to putting £50 cash on the floor in a room full of cleptomaniacs and asking them not to pick it up.

I'd suggest that if people DO feel like they are being treated like a piece of meat then camming probably isn't something that they should participate in. I've even seen women in the directing room demand that a particular person stops viewing them!

If you study human nature at all, you'll have noticed that some things are more acceptable when attraction is present. For example: If a woman is camming and she fancies the person viewing her, she would find any 'directions' from him more erotic than from someone she doesn't fancy. So you can see, it becomes very difficult to mark the distinction between a woman feeling like a piece of meat and feeling highly erotic.

As swingers we meet socially in pubs and know how to behave ourselves accordingly. When we meet in swinging clubs we are allowed to let that air of self restraint drop somewhat. Perhaps a new rule should be that cammers in the non-directing cam rooms must remain fully clothed at all times.

Every Mod will be tarred with the same brush just by virtue of a couple of them being power-happy, ban weilding narcissists.

The same as Single men get a rough time because of a few time-wasting idiots.

Unfortunatley, in a computer world where context can not be heard and everyone reads slightly differently, even the most innocent of remarks can be taken out of context.

There are so many threads on this subject that maybe, just maybe, it's time Admin looked at what is going on and took the power away from those that abuse it, or those that don't care.

maybe there are one or two mods who arnt as harsh....but to ban a guy for saying "get yr cam on" is utter bull shit...its like school ground behaviour. wonder if the mod who banned him has read this and sent him an appology for being so harsh.... i doubt it very much.

We now know who the mod is that banned him!! this person is very rude and thinks that they owe the damn chatroom.

I wasn't in the room so shouldn't really comment, but being a big mouth, I will ... A warning / Advice would probably have sufficed, but it depends upon how busy the rooms is, wether the guy has already been warned for something recently, bla bla bla .. There are many factors which decide how a mod deals with any given situation. At one point in time, there was a prticular mod who would ban you for having a camera pointed at a wall or for having it out of focus .... now even I would agree that is utter bollox - even stranger that person is still a mod !!

He has never been warned about anything before and wasnt warned before he was banned!!! and got a 4 hr ban instead of an 1hrs ban.

The room does go fast at times, and you can't keep up with every conversation,it isn't possible for anyone to, so things will be missed at times and mistakes made.

I bet if you ask every mod they will tell you they have made a duff ban at some point.

When it is busy most mods will watch for a repeat comment before giving a ban on a throw away remark, as they wouldn't be able to keep up with every conversation I think Redhot means.
