I didnt know what this thread meant whatsoever. I saw a few threads and i wasnt sure what any of them meant, some users disappearing etc. Then I saw a thread about this Tineye site. Im sorry to be a div but the original thread is closed and Im just trying to get my head round it.

So if you put the url of pic in that site, it will show you where the picture has been lifted from on the web, is that right. So fake pics will come up with what exactly....

Ive put my own avatar in and its just come up with fabswingers site and of course a whole array of numbers. If it was fake then would it come up with various links etc (sorry for being thick). I know its me of course as im standing in my bedroom by my mirror

Yes it comes up with where else on the internet it is. It will tell you the origin of the photo. So if you have the same picture on three sites it will bring the sites up, but if its been lifted it shows you who the picture belongs to (well link)

I cant see the point of fake pics to be honest. Admittedly I only use my very best pics on the site, where ive captured myself in a good light and ive got a lot of make up on. For every good pic there are 50 Ive binned (thank god for digital cameras), but I wouldnt put someone elses pics up as I wouldnt be able to meet anyone

Someone on here upsets us(lets call them X) and we go to their profile and lift one of their pix,cropping the fab stamp from it

Some time later X mails someone asking for a meet. the person reads their mail,likes their profile but checks their pics with tineye (because they can).

One of X's pics shows up on ifuckponies.com..because we spitefully put it there.

I think the problem was that the person (or at least one of the persons involved) was operating more than one profile at the same time....each with different photos, giving differing ages, and differing locations.

Which is all pretty harmless if they have no intention of seeking meets, and put that on their profile....but they were actively seeking meets, which isn't fair on the guys that contact them and maybe even arrange meets with them.

and that happens how often?? Tineye has been around for a long while, so have other sites to check different things. If you dont like the site you dont have to use it, i just made a comment that i thought it was a good site. I didnt say anything else. Judging by the pms i recieved your in the minority but then thats not a bad thing we all have our likes and dislikes

I cant get Tineye to work. I managed it with my avatar pic and one other pic but all the others say no results. three of my pics are on this site as well as others (with my knowledge, god knows how many sites they are on without my knowledge lol) and I want to see what happens.
