Currently into making cocktails and we've got the classics - Mojito, Daiquiri, Piña Colada etcetera, but a lovely swinging couple introduced us to the Royal Blush (Bombay Sapphire, Chambord & Lemonade), which is gorgeous.

Also 43, ginger ale and a squeeze of fresh lime is a quality drink.

I ran out of tequila and orange juice the other week, so I couldn't make a tequila sunrise but it inspired me to make my own cocktail, using the TS as inspiration. Vodka, Mango & Papaya and a drop of grenadine has now coined me the Moroccan Sunset.

So my thread is to hear what your favourite cocktails are and what's in then.

And if you create your own, share the recipe. 100 swinging points awarded for any cocktails that relate to the swing scene (sex on the beach, orgasms, multiple orgams, slippery nipples are excluded) x

I would highly encourage you to try a very little known cocktail

Pink Polar Bear - like drinking milk shake with a kick

1 part vodka

1 part Tia Maria

Cold milk

Shot of Grenadine

Pour over crushed ice

You could also try a black russian but add a shot of bacardi. Turns it into a warm fuzzy

Or the super turbo shandy...half a pint of strong lager (warsteiner for preference) half a pint of smirnoff ice. Then drop in a double vodka

Nice! Will give this a shot.

I do a mudslide, which I brand as an alcohol Macdonalds chocolate thick shake, so definitely one I'm going to try.

Do you mix all the ingredients above in a shaker or added individually?

Nice! Used to do Black Russians with a Guinness too.

Vodka, Tia Maria and cola (but replace cola with Guinness) - mind blowing!

White Russian

Heavy glass tumbler, fill with ice. Two shots vodka, one Kahlua, milk (or cream if you prefer) to the top.

Simple.

Going to be trying this one also!

The swimming pool

6 Ingredients

¾ oz Vodka

2 oz Pineapple Juice

1 ½ oz White Rum

¼ oz Cream

¾ oz Coconut Cream

¼ oz Bols Blue Curacao

Method

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of the shaker becomes frosted. Strain into hurricane glass with ice and marvel at the unnatural blue of this cocktail

By the way, before anyone gets me on a technicality about my Moroccan Sunset Unloaded. Yes I think "Loaded" would have been better suited as I increased the alcoholic mix and volume but I was pretty pissed when I did it and the name just come out of a d*unk mouth. Not sure I should rename it, afterall it was based on intoxicated inspiration!

But when you've got a room of cuties drinking it, you just give them what they want

I like a cocktail of boiling water gently introduced to a tea bag and steeped for two or three mins with sugar to taste.

Some like to add milk but I think this ruins the flavour of the drink.

Best served in a mug...wi' a handle and served alongside biscuits of the chocolate persuasion

Technically I believe it doesn't but I think any drink inspiration is acceptable.

Including shooters. Baby Guiness Tia Maria (or Patron XO Cafe Tequilla or Kahlua) then pour baileys slow over a spoon to layer and float the baileys in order to replicate a pint of Guinness

Download themysupermarket app. Put a shopping list together for alcohol (blue Curaçao, triple sec, vodka, gin etc) and it will let you know the cost at all the main stream supermarkets. You can even put a price drop alert on.

My list contains a quantity of three as that will take into account buy 3 for £X or buy 2 for X.

Of course you can use this for other groceries too lol

Picked it up for £60 at a local auction house that does business closure auctions.

No sugar syrup required, if you want more sweetness then throw in more triple sec

"One of my favourites is a Moscow Mule. I'm very sad Smirnoff stopped selling it ready made in bottles.

I forgot about them. Used to enjoy a few of those whilst on the dance floor. Very refreshing. Have to look on how to replicate them.

Vodka, ginger ale (I think, could be ginger beer. I get them confused in cocktails), and lime juice. If I remember correctly.

Ginger beer usually maybe with ginger liqueur and angostura bitters thrown in too. Very nice it is too "

I don't know what it is with ginger beer and ginger ale. I often confuse them.

They taste quite different and look very different too but I know other people who confuse them or think they are the same thing, so you're not alone

I know they're not the same but I still get them mixed up. I have to check every time I make a drink which uses one or the other, to make sure I've got it right.

Ah I have all that in. I'll give it a try. And if I'm wrong, I can always buy some ginger beer and try with this

Maybe you would like 43, ginger ale and freshly squeezed lime.

"Was hoping for some cocktail inspiration.

Middori with Sours and Lemonade on the rocks is also a nice refreshing drink.

Love a good Midori Sour!

I'm a sucker for a Pornstar Martini as well which is basically passion fruit & vodka. Its beautiful and very sweet!

You have not ha a Porn Star Martini till you have tried the one served in Balan's of old crompton street in SoHo.

It is the best porn star ive ever had.

Mind you they do a couple of others im partial too aswell Chocolate buffalo or a passion fruit and pineapple swizzle omg "

I think i know where we are heading when we hit the smoke.

"Frozen Margarita: I bought a slush machine at an auction for parties. It takes 3-4 bottles of Tequila, 2-3 of Triple Sec and 40 lemon and limes but by god it's worth it

Nice

How much did that cost?

Do you add sugar syrup?

Picked it up for £60 at a local auction house that does business closure auctions.

No sugar syrup required, if you want more sweetness then throw in more triple sec"

Thanks

Beer is really fiery and ale is more delicate and restrained

Ale for cocktails

I'm quite happy with them made with Smirnoff, thanks.

I rarely have them anyway because I'm really not much of a drinker.

I'm not a vodka snob at all.

We swung with a couple once and his wife was Russian. They pulled out of their freezer Russian Standard. They said that for a reasonably priced vodka, this was pretty good as it doesn't stick to the throat. They weren't lying.

We did down some local Russian vodka too.

Got plenty of vodka in the house including a more pricier Smirnoff. We got Pinky, Grey Goose, Ciroc and Belvedere. So more than happy to be a Guinea pig and try all of them out

Ale for cocktails"

A very good description.

I phoned a swinging club once as I was bringing along 43 and some limes and asked if they could get some ginger ale.

They thought ginger ale and beer were the same and so I had to drink the cocktail with ginger beer instead.

Wasn't bad but as you described, eventually the fiery taste hung on the throat.

So reverted to Bombay Saphire, Chambord and lemonade

The land of grey peas and bacon

I'm a vodka snob and I don't care....I married a US guy and got grey goose for the faction of the price here I miss the perks plus Smirnoff did far more favoured vodkas for the US market than they do here

My mate at work gave me an Ann Summers Cocktail book, which mixes my two favourite pastimes Making (& drinking) Cocktails & Fucking!

Kinda go hand in hand!

Quite looking forward to trying some of the recipes! The book is quite a contrast to Lizzies list of "Disney Princess" cocktails lol
