"Thank you beanoti so you go by first impressions with a handshake." Not just the handshake but it is part of a first impression.

"Fist bumps are the way of the future. Handshakes aren't worth risky another's sweaty palm. Yuck. Indeed. " . Yes..you just bow like the Japanese. Just make sure you don't knock your heads. . But I do make some sort of first impressions from handshakes..and eye (gaze) or other body languages. Guilty

"Beanonti I presume you mean that a man who first meets you doesn't try to break you hand with a handshake he just gives you a normal handshake." And the other extreme the limp handshake.

"Sorry meant to put "not the power of man" in the last email." Ha I'm not that powerful it's just a good picture!. As for the handshakes if it's someone I respect I'll not grip the hand or be half arsed about it, I prefer the half hug shoulder grab ha

At 24 I just people probably more than I should on their handshake... in my books, there's nothing more off putting than a ghost handshake.. *shudder*

"To me the "half hug shoulder thing" is the most phoniest thing I have ever seen it should be banned by law." Aww I'm sure if you had genuinely close friends you'd understand it. I don't just give it out to any dude!

"I do have friends of about 10 years standing and we just greet each other with a "normal" handshake." I'm obviously closer to my friends!, not close enough that they'll let me fuck their wives tho

"Good solid handshake = genuine bloke Middling handshake = half interested in you Wimp handshake = putting up with you under sufferance This. I agree entirely." I know it's utter nonsense x

"I'm a genuine bloke and have a reasonably firm handshake. It's only polite. I'm often amused if someone goes for the 'trying to break your hand' routine. It's always the ones who feel they have something to prove. " this.. almost cave man like behaviour.. and it means nothing as an indicator of whatever except they've read somewhere that a crushing handshake = dominance / 'manliness'.. bit of a mystery..

"A good firm handshake is an indicator of a genuine character and preferred. Anything else makes me wary." Utter nonsense ? Many people who give a confident handshake are well practiced many are indeed in sales I would take nothing from a good handshake other than the person knows how to give a good handshake , the motives will vary Sadly personally anecdotally, limp handshakes from either sex seem to be the most trustworthy. But I'm sure world wide statistics would illustrate no significant correlation between a persons handshake style and their trustworthiness As a man who climbs, has rather a strong grip , I too find it amusing when some , including women , decide to squeeze as hard as they can , I don't compete I always aim to match a persons grip , lulling them into feeling equal What ? People with confident handshakes are manipulative ? Some are some are not Assess a person on their handshake , sounds cool however it's an erroneous prejudice xxx
