We've not had much here either so we've been OK.

Yesterday we definately needed the 4x4 in the morning however by lunchtime the thaw had well and truly set in and today was fine.

I had my customers phone me and tell me that you can't get down my lane!

So took the dog for a walk, she loves the snow and she still took a dip in the river- mad nutter!

Had a fair bit of snow Monday night/all day Tuesday. Going into work was ok(ish) yesterday but today the side roads were lethal. All that snow compacted down, and then froze last night.

Tomorrow morning should be interesting

Been off all week as we're snowed in. My daughter is here from down south too and she's had a week off school cos I couldn't risk driving her back down. Hoping to get away on Sunday but the way it's still snowing here, almost on an hourly basis, it's looking decidedly dodgy.

I haven't been snowed in... it hasn't been that bad here... but I heard it was bad in other places up and down the country so I decided not to bother.

Havent been able to move car since Saturday night. 18inches snow freezing tonight at -12C. Nearest shop 3miles away. Lucky i stocked up on fri & Saturday, logs coal and necessary food. Electricity out from Sunday evening until Tuesday morning. Main road not ploughed as too many trees down in either direction. May get out to either village tomorrow, but really dont need to yet.

So if anyone wishes to meet me sometime soon just remember i cant travel just now and if you travel to me you'll have to walk last three miles in snow. Dont worry though, i'l,l have fire lit and a hot cuppa waiting for you. Any takers?

No trouble !

Took the motorhome 45mins down the road for a delicious meet this morning, then home again and away to work in the car, and got there on time. It was snowing a bit all day here.

No excuses for me either as my works vehicle I currently have at home is a tractor with a front bucket and it`s owned by the Council! So, I start work on the road outside my house if it`s that bad!

"good overtime i bet tho "

Oh yes. He had a grin when mentioned pay. When oncall he was paid usuall rate for sitting at home and going about his normal life and sleeping. Paid overtime if actually was called out. Only thing was he didnt have choice on whether to be on call or not and couldnt ahve a drink on those nights be it even New Year.

I'll never forget the tricky situation he got me into in red light district while in his sweeper and i was walking home. Bastard.
