Mine is rib eye, medium rare, squeeze of lemon, chips with mayo, and a lightly dressed green salad.

If I need comfort food, then I would add a creamy blue cheese sauce to it.

To be washed down with plenty of full bodied red wine!

What's yours?

There shouldn't be any other option than rare or medium rare.

Other side dishes to go with my steak, depending on my mood are: onion rings with mayo, creamed spinach, pan-fried big field mushroom with melted blue cheese on top.

Yum!

"...while i eat same as you Pearl but rare please and with home cooked onion rings, yum!"

I used to have rib eye rare, until I discover medium rare would make the "eye" tastier.

My next favourite cut is rump, with the fat on, fried to a crisp by turning it on its side first.

Either Dijon or English for me.

I'm with the fillet rare/medium rare crew - once I've cooked the steak and let it relax, I like to add any juices that have released from it into a nice, creamy mushroom sauce that I make to drizzle over the top Num num

Bet you would really have enjoyed something from a nice authentic creperie for lunch! Then you could have had your apple and cereal for dinner, simples!

I'm with the Nigella train of thought.

If a good vet could put it right..... it's perfectly cooked!

Need someone to share it with you? Please?

I was in a restaurant in Florence that is famed for their steaks, and an American couple insisted for theirs to be well done!

Should see the faces on the waiters and cooks! What a waste of a good steak!
