Thank goodness I've got my house heating and car heating fixed.

Extra de-icer spray, bottles of water/screenwash/de-icer and a container of diluted anti-freeze all stored in the back of the car, with blankets and extra coats.

Prhaps you could spare a thought for me, stuck out on a fishing boat!

If you make it up to my fishing village's harbour I'll bring the coffee and hot water bottles.

If it's any consolation to you, I spent almost an hour walking the coastal path in the dark and rain and mud looking for an escaped dog last night.xxxx

According to the paper (if it can be believed) the snow has already arrived in the Durham area.

Looking forward to it when it comes up North about another 30 miles Love the snow, it's what winter is all about.

And it makes good reading when half an inch has fallen South of Watford Gap and the whole region grinds to a halt - priceless

O dear...every time it snows here theres a few shaven headed, gold toothed idiots who think they are the ghost of Colin Macrea..and feel obliged to tear up and down the rd in their clapped out 4x4 scoobies...forgetting the fact that there are school kids about...wankers!

Why does the idea of getting snowed in in Northumberland suddenly seem more appealing?

I love when it snows - anywhere in Scotland. My head office is in Cannock and they think Scotland is just this side of the Arctic so when I say I can't get out of the drive for the snow, I get the day off!

I can't push it, but it's worth 3 or 4 days off every winter.

It's meant to be North and West but mainly in the hills I think.

Found it buried in the UK forecast. widespread snow in the North East, light snow in Bedfordshire from Thursday.

Bugger!
