Bad meet verifications

I see lots of verifications saying how amazing the meet was that it got me wondering If people have a bad meet have they wrote a verification or just not bothered and not talked to them again?

Anyone got any experience in this?

Purely just out of curiosity

A lot of verifications are false..... And if you write ( or was left) a bad report, you have the option of not showing it on your profile anyway.

Who's going to display a bad veri?

Whilst writing a bad veri following a disastrous meet may be the honest thing to do and give true reflection of the other party and whatever happened to make it such a bad meet........

Do you seriously expect anyone would actually display it?

It would just add a number to a meet summary and be counter-productive.

Best not to bother.

I have actually seen someone displaying a bad veri!

It essentially came down to the man in question smelling revolting. To this day I have no idea why he had it. Unsurprisingly it was the only one.

Whilst I DO agree with this. And I've NEVER had a bad verification. ..

I think there is a solution.

If a user gets 3 negative verifications by 3 DIFFERENT (already verified people with at least 2 DIFFERENT positive veris)..then they should get a strike symbol against there profile that they CANNOT control.

It would be a check box system.

Other users can then click it and it would say what sort of a bad meet/no show it was.

I've always thought in everyday life that once ok that might be a one off..

Twice and hmmmm..

But 3 times and you might want to give this person a swerve.

(This applies to both genders btw)

I see no way how this could be abused or not work.

GT's idea has some merit, but if we rated people, to indicate if positive meet or negative, those users who write the glowing shagfest up in minute details would be throwing stars out to those users instead, like trip advisor.

Turning up on time, with a pulse, could be enough to swing your review balance positively.

Also, smelling badly isn't possibly any problem whatsoever, based on tales some post about filthy, smelling hovels that they've arrived at.

People using others' pics could pick on blind users and still get positive feedback too. Scammers will find ways to manipulate things in their favor.

This is a great idea , and surely worth considering by administration .

Depends why the meet was bad. If the meet had any redeeming features I'll put those in a verification, without mentioning what was bad.

Like the guy who went soft every time we tried to put on a condom. I still verified him as we had loads of soft play which was still fun, even though I was disappointed at the time.

My rule is; if I can't say anything nice, I say nothing at all.

I can think of a few problems with this system. A big one would be false negative verifications - what if I were chatting to a verified user, decided they weren't for me and for whatever reason they decided to negatively verify me?

Under the old system I can just choose not to display it, but under this system it would be a black mark on my name, and take up one of my three strikes.

I think this system would place far too much emphasis on verifications, and too much power to verified users over those unverified.

I haven't given it a lot of thought, those are just my two pennies

That's the flaw.

If you were chatting and some guy couldn't take the rejection (which I know happens a lot on here) they could leave a false negative veri.

Yes.

Best scrap that idea then.

I've never had a bad meet as such, some were better than others.

I would guess thstvpeople don't verify a bad meet, they would just block them. It would be highly amusing if all verisimilitude received had to.be shown, good or bad

I find it funny when people verify that they met with a sexy looking person and when they sent pics to me they looked anything but. I know everyone finds sexyness different but really think they need to go to a reputable high street optician lol

I'm not claiming to be gods gift but I agree.

Sometimes I just can't see it but the veri will say how sexy they are.

Some of the comments I see on the forums sometimes I'm thinking "really?"....

I'd verify regardless of whether it was a bad meet or not as I never go into sordid personal details and use it to show they are who they say they are and genuine which is their purpose. Its not a sexual performance review as far as I'm concerned and I just think its polite to send one to someone you've met for real.

I don't give verifications and don't accept them.

Reason being if you email me for a meet. We exchange face pics , exchange numbers. Then meet fairly quickly. The people I have met are looking for great sex. Not life long friends. I must add I mostly meet visitors to NYC , so no need to write a verification unless they are coming back for a visit.

Depends what you mean by bad? If its a case of they turned up, looked like their pics but there wasn't a spark, yes we would verify.

If after a meet we had nothing nice to say, no we wouldn't.

Perhaps we should remember what the actual purpose of the verification system is for.

It is a system, along with the photo verification system, of proving that the person (or persons) are who they purport to be and are a real person - and that they show up.

It is a system designed to provide assurance to others that it is not a fake profile - i.e. a single man posing as a couple etc.

On a different website, you could actually leave negative feedback

I used to post mine

Because the good outweighed the bad by 99.999999%

plus also to prove that not everyone has the same positive experience as all the previous people

It wasn't being spiteful

Just being realistic

little house on the praire

In all the while I've been here I've never had a bad meet, I try and leave positive verifications for guys that are not OTT but will hopefully will help them get more meets. I never go into sexual detail.

Oh apart from the guy who was " a shit shag"

Truthfully though I've left a couple of joke verifications that have been displayed but that's because they are a confident person and comfortable enough in themselves to be called a shit shag"
