The "Anti Beach-Party" thread...

For all of us that aren't going to the Beach Party today I have started a thread so we can share what we are doing today. I'll start it off, today I shall mostly be relaxing after a hectic few days, currently eating Pringles with Primula cheese spread...yum!

Doing better than cheese. Roast chicken, roast pots, tons of veg which thankfully the kids love, yorkshire puds(have them with every roast), stuffing and my own homemade gravy. Followed by spotted dick and custard.

Then collapse in front of the box with some rental dvd's.

We WERE intending to have a BBQ, but now that it's pissing down, the stuff will be under the grill

And to top it all, "mates" who i regulary feed on sundays have "gone out for lunch" with out inviting me.

And no...they didnt know about my aborted lunch date.

Im figuring out how to take a pic of me walking up the stairs with no knickers on, i dont have a tripod so will have to prop the camera up with something - it will probably take me about 100 takes before I get anything half decent

Yeah to be fair i was actually invited to the beach party and had my fella not been away then we would have gone - so I am thankful for the lovely couple who invited me and I didnt realise that money was being raised for charity - shagging for charity - sounds good to me.

thank you for the frozen pea idea - i will do it as i need to angle it up the stairs of course - though its frozen peas and carrots - i hope it has the same effect - no doubt my head will be cut off but then the focus wasnt going to be my head

The beach party is an annual event (well this is the second) it is also the biggest event that i know of so obviously more people are going to talk about it. Last years party was the best party ive been to in my life and the hard work and effort that go into making it a success is second to none. Also chams make a great contribution.

If i hadnt of been going on holiday i most certainly would of been there but unfortunatly it takes me too long to recover from the socials (its my age you see)

During the last 18months the pussyposse/doris's headed by _adchick have raised well over £2000 ( i dont know the exact figure) for various well worthwhile charities. Its not actually shag for charity as such as much as i like the idea, but the money is usually raised by raffles, competitions, auctions ect.

I hope they all had a fantastic time.

Not for this mod it wasn't, I was very busy with bitchy threads and comments, mainly bitching over the people that were not here.

maybe if all the bitching stops from every side , it will be a more fun place.

Regardless of how this thread was intended, it would appear that certain elements amongst the forumites are obviously hacked off about the beach party.

I saw this when I got home last night, and although I realised it was intended with all good humour, some of the remarks on here actually upset me.

I organise the parties for fun, for EVERYONE to come along to if they wish, there is NO exclusion.

Yes, we raise quite a bit of money for charity, a fact that I don't advertise because I personally feel that people shouldn't be forced to contribute if they don't want to or if they can't afford to.

Raffles are generally the way to do this and we always raise a few hundred quid, which goes to one of the Cancer units or, as in the case of the Xmas do, to the local childrens hospice for presents.

I am sorry that there are those that feel that yesterday was a nice day on the forums because the bulk of the forumites were at the party, but each to their own, that is how they see it.

Many of you will be glad to know that I'm (at last) taking a break from organising..... so you won't have to put up with inane threads regarding parties.

I do hope that those who's sarcasm and ironic wit really did upset me last night are happy that they have achived something that very few people actually manage to do......... to make me feel sad and pathetic for doing something that I used to love doing.
