I put steak and kidney and loads of veg in the slow cooker before I went to work this morning.

Jacket potatoes in the oven on timer!!

It was gorgeous!!!!!

What did you have??

I just had chicken and sweetcorn soup with a few prawn crackers!!!

I love it when you dip the crackers in the soup and they fizzzz!!!!!

Small things and all that!!!!

Yesterday, I had a late lunch of Lamb rogan gosh.

no dinner

Today It will be a pub lunch, torn between chicken and beef

I'm a sentimental old traditionalist when it comes to Sunday dinner - it has to be a full roast. Beef is my favourite but not every week so typically we will have beef, pork, lamb interjected with chicken as our main four-weekly cycle (turkey at Easter & Xmas). Roast potatoes done as only I know how to do them .. accompanied with: roasted carrots and three of the following: Greens, green beans, savoy cabbage (sluuurp), peas, mange tout.

I cannot hack brussel sprouts, even on someone else's plate, so if Siren wants them she has to cook dinner, that's the deal lol.

The dinner is completed with Yorkie puds and sage & onion stuffing balls, and my own gravy recipe.

Traditional I know, but it's the one meal of the week I really look forward to.
