was on top gear last year or year before I think when it was mentioned he'd spent millions on a particular Ferrari, think it was cause of the previous owner though, I may be wrong on this, dont have those particular facts in front of me right now.

not sure I'd leave the garage if I spent that amount on a car, in fact, i think it would be display only

You can't beat Astons for class and style. Ferarri's are what Lidl would sell if they sold cars!

I do agree, I wouldn't myself, that amount of money would buy a very nice house/manor though.

"You can't beat Astons for class and style. Ferarri's are what Lidl would sell if they sold cars!"

You obviously haven't owned an Aston Martin!

Few things are as toe-curlingly embarrassing as sitting at the lights in a 3 yr old DB7 GT manual that keeps stalling for no apparent reason. Or worse, having to bridge a contact under the clutch with a piece of wire to allow you to bump start the fucking thing (and how many people do you think will rush to help give it a shove?)

Apart from silly little things like the aforementioned problem ("It's what they call a car with a quirky character!" No, it's what I call a ball-ache), they aren't too clever on the finishing detail either, certainly not for cars which aren't exactly cheap. Rattles, whistles, things that just....ain't right.

One of my clients sent his brand new DB9 back 3 TIMES because of a trim rattle which kept recurring. He had to collar one of Aston's top boys at the Motor Show and embarrass him on the stand before they finally came and took the car from his house and dealt with it.

Aston Martins are great as a Sunday afternoon toy.

I bought a Jaguar, still have it 5 years later, it's a joy to drive. Yes, they have their problems, but they are a lot quicker off the mark to put things right if problems occur. Mind you, I still haven't quite forgiven them for the X-type, or for bringing out (spits) diesels or worse, estates yet.

If I suddenly become a micro-penis, I might consider a Ferrari.
