No, I have in the past cheated on partners, I have in the past been cheated on, I didn't enjoy either side of it, but at least I know through experience.

What is important to me now didn't really matter to me those years back when I did cheat, my priorities have changed.

To this date, even after what I have been through, I am still of the opinion what the other person does not know does not hurt.

HOWEVER, one must be prepared to live with the consequences of being found out!

Hence I don't do it myself, as being cited as a homewrecker for the second time is too much for me to bear.

wow... okay I have been wondering whether to say anything in this debate, whether to say anything for fear of hurting some of the closet people i am too online....

I am active on another swinging website, and a lot of people who were there in those forums will remember a situation with regards to a specific member who use to be on that site..... really respected member of the site, of the forums, I don't think a bad word had ever been said about the person, was liked at munches and socials alike......

no one knew this person was married..... we had all been at a party with them one saturday night, getting an e-mail on the monday morning asking me if they had been drinking (to which the answer was no, drinking water and coffee all night) and then to find out this person had died in a road accident after they left...

then their "partner" found out about the site... came on and wrote things in the forums that will stick with me for as long as I am around....the pain, the anger, the loss of someone who meant a lot to them.....

and it is at times like that, that within our own little "swinging world" that you do realised there are other people that are affected,

I am not going to judge anyone, its not my place to.. i don't know peoples lives... peoples motives.... but the one thing that will stick with me is a sense that people out there can be hurt by others actions, directly or indirectly.... and that is no part of what I want from my life, or the scene, or the world in general.....

The paradox of this question is this:

To 'get away' with something means never telling a living soul what you've done. Having said that, it is human nature to let others know what you've been upto. Humans like to shock, to be viewed differently to what they are percieved to be. We like to tell secrets.

The OP poses the question: If you could get away with cheating on your partner, would you?

To answer anything but 'No' to this question means that you have potentially exposed yourself to being caught, thereby increasing the risk of not getting away with it.

People don't cheat because they know it's wrong. They know it's wrong because it causes pain, lessens character, ruins lives, destroys the self etc etc ....

The OP's Q was fairly simplistic and removed all these negatives.

That changes everything. If it no longer harmed anyone then YES. I'd have extra sex partners as no harm would be caused.

Bonks ... Don't say that it would be wrong. How can it be if ALL negative consequences have been removed?

However a survey of 46,000 UK people shows a much different % to what you'll find in this thread lol

i couldnt bring myself to cheat on someone, ive been cheated on and then forgiven the person and still wouldnt have cheated i think if your willing to cheat you shouldnt be with that person
