They did not know on BBC1 during the live One show. They told viewers it was a fire alarm in the studio and apologised for the noise. A few minutes later they realised it was the government warning. All that prepping for the One show and nobody at the BBC had a clue what it was or had the sense to tell the presenters it was going to happen live on their show.
