What’s that drink that you can’t face any more? And why?

Mine is schnapps, cricket club presentation night me and some mates went hard on the schnapps shots and I was ill for 3 days, couldn’t keep food down for 24 hours 🤢

I’m not a fan of Gin either. But there is an Orange Marmalade Gin that you mix with ginger ale and a slice of frozen orange which is lovely. Mainly coz it doesn’t taste of gin at all 😂

Jack Daniels... One night in my first year at uni I had waaaaaay too much in one night (somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 a litre!).

I was still young, so didn't actually feel ILL the next morning, but that was probably also because I was definitely still intoxicated! Mind you, it was the only time a maths lecture actually made sense!!

Southern Comfort, I stupidly drank a half bottle of it straight when I was maybe 18. Trying to be the big I am at a party. Let’s just say without going into too much details, the clothes I was wearing that night went in the bin. Almost 40 years later and even the smell of it makes me feel sick.

Yeah it was bad.

I used to drink them in the morning at work, got them from the pound shop.

One day they ran out, so I got one from a corner shop, don't know if it was off or something, but a really bad experience.

I had severe head pains at work and fell unconscious.

Nightclub with a bunch of mates, all got chatting to a crowd of girls. Ice cube swapping became the theme for some reason. Got through my drinks twice as fast. I fell asleep on a stool in the middle of the dancefloor, woke up with the lights on and doormen standing over me. Two mates arm locked me either side and walked me to my hotel room. I spent the night on the big white phone to God.

The smell of it now just turns my stomach

A very expensive and rare bottle of whisky my friends and I swigged down. Country house, middle of no where, no transport, age 19-ish, searching cupboards and cellar and a bottle of whisky from about 1950. I remember it tasted of heather and peat. Remarkable. No idea what it was.

"Tell you another drink that I found lethal is Guinness Foreign extra stout...never had a hangover headache like it from any other drink.

How’s it different to normal Guinness?

Higher alcohol content, think around 7% and again I was drinking it like normal Guinness!

All fine till you stood up?"

It was next morning when I woke up...I was seriously thinking of going down to A&E haha

Both for the same reason: one night of drinking then waaaay too much (on separate occasions, not the same night)

Even the smell of them makes me a bit nauseous now 😅

Whisky and tequila are up there, just because they taste gross, but hands down it's Sambuca.

I was very very sick after drinking the better part of a half a bottle of banana Sambuca at a house party once, and at risk of tmi, it was bright yellow.

Haven't been able to touch the stuff since.

Kahlua.

At uni I got absolutely smashed on Mokador, which was a cheap Kahlua knockoff we all bought because it was cheap. I don't remember getting home, but I woke up on my bed with it thrown up all over my arm. It was both disgusting and scary that I'd thrown up while asleep and hadn't even noticed. 😬🤢

Yuck.

Never again.

Gin is just dirty vodka that has been rolled around some leaves and strained back in the bottle. I will accept no further argument on this.

"Southern Comfort, I stupidly drank a half bottle of it straight when I was maybe 18. Trying to be the big I am at a party. Let’s just say without going into too much details, the clothes I was wearing that night went in the bin. Almost 40 years later and even the smell of it makes me feel sick. "

So-Co for me too. Pretty much word for word, except it wasn't a party it was a quiet couple of pints in the pub with the lads from my student house and the landlord. Only when we got back three us kept drinking (one already a 'I can't drink Southern Comfort), me and the landlord polished off a litre bottle between us.

I woke up the following morning, the sink in my room full of spew blocking the water I tried to wash it away with so it was full to the brim. Couldn't get rid of the smell for weeks! 🤢🤢🤢
