"Someone keeps parking outside mine, then walking about 6 houses up to go in. AND... there's a space outside for them to park there. Now I'M parked about 6 houses up. Am I being silly fuming about it or should I just chill? This happens at least half the week x 🤬" No, it's not unreasonable to want to park outside your front door or back for that matter.

"I have loads of ideas that I shall keep as a fanciful daydream. There's bigger issues to worry about i suppose. It's just mildly annoying x " It is a mild irritation when it is not obvious why they do it when there is no need. When the kids were young and we had to get them out of the car plus all their paraphernalia, it used to really bug me (now I have a drive - but the kids park in it, grrr). Tik Tok has some clips of bust ups over parking - though possibly taking it to further extremes by parking in the neighbours driveway (one even parked their cos she could use their electric charger).

"As many households now have a minimum of 2 cars, pavement parking is at a premium on a street of terraced, no driveway, houses. I moved house at the begining of the year and now park in a road off my road as there is rarely parking outside my home. I probably piss the people off who own the house i park outside but what can you do. I try not to let things I have no control over stress me. " It’s annoying, but the road is a public highway and anyone can park there. Don’t fret about it.

"Our road was closed due to road works recently and for two days I parked near the alleyway to our back gate and got left a mumsnet style “PARK INFRONT OF UR OWN HOUSE” ticket. All it did was make me want to park there even longer. Pettiness goes both ways so be careful 🤣" I thought people were more friendly up north? Or is that just the bullshit you tell us southerners? 😂

Especially pensioners, I went to a retirement area. When I was married previously, I went to the in laws for a weekend and parked out car a couple of doors down where there was space. After 2 days we came back. Next thing the guy who lived there tells my father in law that he was about to ring the council and tell them someone had dumped a car outside their house 🤷🏽♂️ Some people have too much time on their hands.

"I think my point is being missed. The road outside their house is empty. Yet they park outside mine. Just wondering why x 🤔🤷♀️" Maybe they’ve told their partner they’re walking to work and don’t want the driving away to show on the doorbell cam?

They have no more right to park there than any other road tax payer.

"Im chill now. Just got mildly annoyed getting soaked in the rain x" I get where you are coming from. It isn’t the fact that someone parked in front of your house, just weird how they park 6 houses from their own, when there was space outside their own house (more than once)

I'd be completely fine walking a couple minutes because I had to park around the corner. It's still parked and I got a bit more exercise. It is what it is as long as your car is safe and not too far to travel to to get to it, I see no issue

" No arguments there, other than I do question their logic / decency as to why they don't park directly outside their house if they've ample space to do so. Would be the decent thing to do.
