Flirting at work

I thought I'd ask here as I'm not sure what to do.

There's a woman whos married that has been flirting with me (to the point of shed look me in the eyes and slowly suck on the end of her glasses pulling it in and out of her mouth)

I don't know what to do as I'm at work and i feel like if I said anything i could get in trouble if she decided that she just wanted to tease but also if she's serious as when I'm at work sex isn't something I think about.

What would other people do in my place and any advice on what to do would be great

Imagine all the goddamn trouble that could arise if it could go wrong, and think about your ability to pay bills first.

Or write about it in Stories and Fantasies and get it out of your system.

It's not a case of getting it out of my system and more of the correct way to address this, I don't know if i should bring it up with her when she's in or report it to the work as sexual harassment.

Like I said i when I'm in work I'm focused on work stuff and not things like flirting etc, I'll be friendly and such but I don't go about looking for intimate encounters or making friends

She could get into seriously hot water if you make it official straight off and it’s innocent. Perhaps ask your line manager to have a quiet word with her. Ask her if she’s aware of what she’s doing. She may be looking at you but be in a different place when she’s thinking about what she’s thinking.

It could be innocent on her behalf, it might not be. If she is talked to by a line manager first and it doesn’t stop then make it official.

Apologies. So often these scenarios go the other way, that people want to act on it. That's usually a terrible idea.

I agree with having an informal chat with management about it. It could be innocent, and/or she might knock it off with some informal pushback. (If she doesn't, then escalate)

I'd recommend you check your work policy on sexual harassment and follow any advice contained in it about how to handle the situation, and who/where to report it if that's what you need to do.

Do you have an employee assistance helpline number you could call for an unbiased conversation?

I would make it clear to her that you are not interested and if it still keeps happening then speak to your line manager keep it informal at first so if possible you can preserve a good working relationship if necessary you can escalate it when needed

I work in 1 to 1 situation as it's IT related but i found it odd that she purposely did the thing with the glasses as she made sure to take out glasses and bring herself really close to me before doing it.

I asked colleagues at work and they found it odd but didn't say anything else on it.

I'll mention it to the manager as my goal is to resolve it without making a scene or causing embarrassment to her

If it continues, keep notes of what's happening and speak to someone senior about it.

From what I've been told she is flirting with me and the sucking on the end of the glasses is her apparently "hinting"

It's not like she was doing it while chatting she purposely went out of her way to look me straight in the eyes and brought her face close to me before doing it
