What games are you all playing at the moment?

I bought Rome Total War remastered when it was on offer on Steam the other day and I'm not really feeling it.

Recently restarted Fallout 4 in survival mode. It's a bloody challenge. But still very frustrating because, despite the numerous updates, it remains so glitchy. Only other one I enjoy is Alien Isolation. Terrifying! I'm shit at it, but I love it. Haven't tried anything new in ages.

There should be a support group for people who have played Alien Isolation.

I played it a few years ago on Xbox and it scared the crap out of me and then last year I had the bright idea to do it again.

But in VR.

I was an all in fan of the original OF. Way back. Didn't have the pc to run it right but I loved how In Depth it was. They ruined it with red river and dragon rising by having a massive map to explore but missions on those maps that severely restricted how you go move around making it very small.

Have you tried squad?

Yeah, there's been a few times where I've managed to somehow find myself with competent people and I think 'ah, this is supposed to how it's played' but then it kicks off and I tell myself I'm laying down suppressing fire, when in actuality I just can't hit shit 😁

I have to agree. One of the reasons I was so crap at it was because I spent most of my time hiding, scared to come out of hiding. As soon as I heard the rattle in a vent opening my chest eould tighten! It was done very well.

Random fact of the day, I cant remember the exact number, but I think its 5 or 6, but it runs on a number of AI programs so that the Alien is learning how your playing the game. So if your constantly hiding in lockers, the Alien clicks on, or if you use flares to get away, it looks for a different way to get round you. Its fucking clever how it works.

Yes it makes it all the more terrifying, especially when it stops being scared of the flamethrower or figures out you're just hiding in lockers.

For the VR run I didn't use any gadgets at all so it couldn't learn what I'd be using.

Until the end sequence where I just unleashed everything on it and it didn't know what to do 😁

Shadows was okay, once you've played one though you pretty much played them all. Origins was my fave. I didn't like having two main protagonists and flitting back and forth on different story lines, I probably would have enjoyed it more if they'd just stuck with one

I used to love the AC games but they have definitely become very formulaic and repetitive.

Last one I finished and enjoyed was Odyssey. I got bored part way through Valhalla as it was more of the same. Didn't bother with anymore after that.

Ghost of Tsushima was great, so wasn't bothered about Shadows.

I grew out of it/got bored of it. It's not a criticism of anyone of a certain age who still does it because I don't read or watch much TV and I wish I still had the inclination.

I honestly feel the same. Was such a huge part of my life from about 5 years old, but the last 5+ years I'm really not bothered.

A few things here and there have tickled me, but nothing like it used to be. I've probably played 3 different games in as many years.

Time is limited, and I've done it all before. Nothing catches my imagination.

I have a friend who feels similar and he thinks World of Warcraft addictions are to blame - in its hay day it was probably the ultimate.

"DayZ

Dayz

And occasionally DayZ

Have you ever thought about playing DayZ? I think you'd enjoy it xx"

I don't think DayZ is a game that's been created to enjoy.

You endure it instead.

"Playing farcry 5 currently and it’s just like a current simulator of America currently

My brother bought me this but I’m yet to give it a go

It’s ok. I preferred the visuals of farcry 4 and 3 but it’s quite funny thus one bit very religious "

I was told it was like redneck Assassins creed 🤣

Hello gamers anyone been getting lost in crimson desert? Had a couple of week off due to life but it’s a great escape if you’re into the vast open world.
