What’s your “go to” choice?

For a number of years, mine has been the Talisker Scotch Whisky.

The Tidal Churn, with ‘maritime smoke’

small cave, behind the big cave.

I do like Talisker myself, if I treat myself in The Local, that is what I order.

At home, I always go for Bowmore.

It’s Jd but because o drink so much tht anything else would bankrupt me. Do like a range though from Yamazaki or Laphroaig to Macallan.

Who am I kidding!?! I’ll drink anything !

Mmmm whisky

I have stopped buying US whiskey’s and bourbons, though I do like them

I am still very partial to Irish whiskeys : Slane and Sexton are both worth a visit

Now Scotch whisky !

Crumbs!

Ardbeg, for that really dense peat and smoke

Pretty much anything from Islay

Lagavullin. If I have some extra money lying around

I love MacAllan but refuse to pay the recent inflated prices for it.

Cragganmore is a close enough substitute

Singleton is lovely

And whereas I find Bells a difficult choice I do have a rather guilty love of Teachers blenddd whisky. Mind, it is very hard to find these days

It really depends on my mood and time. Nothing beats on a cold day a nice glass of scotch by the fire (if you have one or a decent pub with one). saying that last xmas the other half got me some Crown Royal Dark which was nice.

It's got an excellent bottle, I'm sure there are probably much nicer whiskeys out there but I don't know enough to choose them so I go for the nicest bottle

I love most single malts, especially Laphroaig. I also like quality blended whisky as well such as Johnnie Walker and Chivas Regal.

The next bottle I'll open is a J&B.

I also have an unopened bottle of Blair Athol 8 year old from the 1970's.

J&B, don’t see it very often unfortunately but definitely on my ‘gotta have a large one’ list.

Currently enjoying Haig Clubman. Not a true Whiskey as such, but definitely got my taste buds going, especially as It’s on special at Sainsbury’s at £18 👍👍🥃🥃🥃

I like Raasay, lovely taste and within my budget. Had a chance to taste a 36y whiskey (don't remember name) and it was amazing but 650 per bottle would bankrupt me in a week.

I had to order the J&B from the whisky exchange, just fancied a bottle as I haven't had it for a few years...the large supermarkets don't sell it anymore...not sure if you can get it in any smaller shops etc.
