Excluding an ethnic group might be a racist decision or it might be a personal preference. Is putting “black men only” or “no black men” on your profile racist. You could simply not put the preference on your profile and just ignore messages and nobody would be any the wiser. I once dated a black girl who only dated white men because she didn’t like the way black men treated women. Her words not mine. Is she racist? Because if she is, then a white woman who only dates black men because she likes the way they treat women is therefore also racist. By pure happenstance, fate, providence and the pure twisted randomness of life I have never dated/met/slept with a Sikh woman, despite intermingling with them during my adolescent years and through adulthood, from family events, university or workplace. That includes other women of 'Indian origin' that were specifically part of my milieu during those years that I mentioned above - Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist. You'd think by the law of averages I would have met at least one. They were never interested. Equally so I didn't pursue them simply to add a feather to my cap. It was just one of those inexplicable things. All the women I've 'met', courted or socialised with have been causasian. I didn't purposely go looking for white women; my interactions just transpired that way. Again, it was just one of those inexplicable things. It had nothing to do with racism or some subconscious aversion to 'brown/black' women. It's just fact, an observation, my musings and nothing more.
