Most of what I eat now would still give them a heart attack haha

As a kid we ate proper home made chips from a chip pan almost every night of the week, it was the norm for everyone round here

All of the above, plus tinned beans and sausages. Crispy pancakes were dangerously hot on that first bite but we never learned lol

'London Grill' - no idea if only sold in London, but Heinz baked beans with sausages, bacon and kidney! Breakfast in a tin.

Another fan of a Frey Bentos steak and kidney here too...how on earth pastry was soggy and crispy at the same time I'll never know, but so good!

God they were like a 3 course meal. Lid off ....... course 1 steak n gravy course 2. Sloppy pastry Course 4 The crispy lid.........

When I was a student Aldi used to do stewed beef in a can that must have been at least 50% pure fat. I know this because if you opened the can and warmed it whilst the contents were still in the can at least half of the contents became liquid fat that you could use to fry some onions and eggs in before chucking the meat chunks in with some baked beans to make a cheap hash.

Anyway...sometimes when I was hungry and didn't have enough electricity to heat anything up I would devour this crap cold straight out of the can. Being hungry it actually tasted quite good but I dread to think what it would do to my cholesterol levels now.

The pool doesn't do naughty snacks or drinks anymore I notice.....

Ah vending machine snacks, happy memories, it was usually a wham bar or highland toffee as a post swim treat for me. Did love cheesy wotsits though
