Surely it can't be taken seriously.

What would be a more appropriate (or inappropriate) name for a storm bringing gale-force winds to the UK over Easter weekend?

How about wind and rain. Because most of these names have been either crap or turned ou to be nothing. Naming them upfront has been a curse on people's names for nothing.

Exactly this, I think it would work. Possibly name all storms in this manner, but use other countries' pronounciation, such as:

Yeshua (Hebrew),

Yesu (Swahili),

Íosa (Irish),

Jesús (Spanish),

Jésus (French),

Gesù (Italian),

Jeesus (Finnish/Estonian), and

Iisus (Russian).

But everyone would be talking about it, saying it's the best most amazing special Storm ever, everyone agrees.
