Something a bit more uplifting and affirmitive today, and I'm a bit bored of being a bull or a bear on the animal thread.

In the entirety of your long or short lives, what is the achievement that makes you most proud?

If you say children, you must give a second answer and move past the cop out 🤣

Give detail to yout answers please 😊

It was the best sponge I've ever made but I lost the recipe.

There were some bakers on the forums at the time who gave me the recipe.

I've made nice ones since but nothing like that one.

Same. D*unk af walking home at 5am a woman shouts over to all for an ambulance. Loved down at my phone next time I looked up couldn't see her. She collapsed behind roadworks. Massive head wound. Twice she stopped breathing and couldn't feel her heartbeat. Felt like a lifetime waiting for ambulance. No one else even walked by the whole time

Haha other than my kids there’s not much I’m proud off most my adult life been a depressing shitshow, I’m proud of the fact my kids have picked me off their own back to be the parent to live with if that counts haha

Relatively proud of what few bits I’ve achieved running my own business for over 29 years, owning my house and flat outright.

I also have things I deeply regret and I’m not proud of things that torture my brain with guilt and make me think I deserve the mostly failure riddled adult life I have now

Once they’ve trained a few months they are like a new person full of confidence and a spring in their step which makes me proud.

Done quite a lot that I'm proud of

Used due diligence and professional curiosity when concerned about the welfare of child in my care....Turns out the Childs Mum was a drug runner on the Boris line and the house the Child was living in was being used as Cuckoo nest. Yes the Child was removed from the Mother and placed in care of the Dad. Mum ended up jailed. I was commended by the local LEA and the College who owns the Nursery I work in

Administered CPR to a Child when she stopped breathing after having an epileptic seizure

Helped a lady who was miscarrying her baby. A&E released her and she was waiting for a lift to Maternity unit which was 15 minutes away....

Despite being dyslexic I completed my BA Honours Degree. Always told at School that I wouldn't amount to much.....

Can I have more than one?

I used to help build and service rally cars, and did so on several RAC rallies back when they were 4 day monsters.

I played cricket to a level just below County Championship level and with and against a few lads who went in to play for England nd other national teams

Over a period of 4 years I mentored 3 people, and all of them got 2 promotions.

Managing to get back on my feet several times (twice after redundancy) in the constantly changing and less than sympathetic Financial Services Industry. Retired early last year from a well paid middle management job after forty years in various roles. Don't miss the struggles, constant stress and worry of getting the chop in the coming year. Seeing former colleagues for a beer or four tomorrow night, will feel odd being an outsider looking in probably feeling their pain after more job cuts. Paid well but always had to earn it the hard way giving the firms their desired " pound of flesh or blood".

Oh seriously I thought it's a joke on the beginning that is why I put about teaching my kids switch off the lights.

In my life I did some good things im proud of it like back in the days when I was leaving in my mother hood country I was a lifeguard and I saved too many people 2 of them I will never forget them ever a pregnant woman with her 3 years old boy I rescued both of them same time where.

I saved someone's life in york in a Saturday night want to take his life to jump in the river ouse I was talking to him and I dialled the emergency number 999 and let them listen to the conversation with me saying look at this beautiful york city and her special river house, so the police know where i am exactly.

Last year I was on holiday and I end making a cpr to a man with Cardiac Arrest.

Instead of the great British menu and great British bake off let's have the great fab off

A bread course

A fish

In the early 2000s I was earning silly money for a bloke in his twenties and disappeared into hedonism, partying every night, too much booze and too many chemicals. 3 bottles of vodka a night and accompaniments.

When I went travelling at 26, most of my friends thought it would be the last they saw of me.

I came back worse, not better, and decided to fix myself. I sold or gave away everything, left my career, and chose to live on the streets for two years to humble myself and see the other side of life. It was beautiful.

I read voraciously, learned my own mind, learned to master my desires, rebuilt my career, and turned myself from a broken shell of a man into a self-sufficient man and a proud father. Even now, I well up when I think.of that journey.

I went to South Africa when I was at University for 4 weeks as part of some programme. Saw Lions, Leopard, Hippos in the wild. My proudest moment was helping a group of conservationists and rangers help sedate a huge Nile Crocodile who was injured and help treat the big guy. Took about 12 people to help sedate and then release him back into the river.

That and also diving and seen a few Tiger Sharks in the sea. They have amazing stripes and spots on their back. And also saw the Hammerhead Shark too. I'm glad I went. Gave me a greater love and appreciation for wildlife on this planet.

I'm sorry but it's my daughter so far,I grew up on estate, yeah I got a trade that's me,my highlight, and some major escapeds close shaves and scrapes, and in general tossed it off,and drove my parents mad wasting talent I had.

She grew up climbing trees, riding motorbikes fishing, and going on the football.

But, I had a saying...do as I say, not as I do, let dad be the dickhead I want better for you, I wrapped myself her, made all the sacrifices, she only left my side at 18 ,when she moved t London to go University.

11A* GCSE 4 A LEVELS 2 As and 2A* A*in half A

LEVEL

Got a place at UCL doing a BBC Economics degree, smashed that and got a first,First job at Morgan Stanley as an undergraduate, then a couple more places in the city as an investment banker, which she does now still £150000 a year at 25,and still that same humble kid from an estate she's been....How the fuck did I manage to nurture her to help her get where she is now, when all I've been is a clown.

My lads work in progress..we'll leave there with him for now.

Leaving an abusive relationship.

My biggest regret was allowing it to happen again (twice. In another relationship and a close friendship. Clearly I am not a quick learner 🙄)

Growing a spine and recognising that I didn't deserve the way I was being treated, despite being told I did, and putting boundaries in place has been a really big deal for me.

I'm naturally a people pleaser and a worrier so I don't like people thinking badly of me.

Learning that if they're people who can treat me the way they did, it doesn't matter what they think, has been very free-ing.

On a less emotional note, completing my ironman last year. I'm not naturally sporty or athletic, but it was the best thing I've ever done.

Memorising the Gospels by rote learning for a New Testament Greek module at uni instead of bothering to learn the language. Back in the early 2000's I started up my own business, my total investment in it was £10.

It lasted for around 15 years n after the first year I gave up my daytime job to run it n it made me enough money to live off, plus gave me a deposit for me to buy 2 houses to rent out.

Not bad for £10.
