Part 1 filled up, thank you everyone for your recommendations. And I've listened to every one from part 1, which was hard work but rewarding, some great stuff in there, plus some stuff that's just not my kind of thing.

I really liked Angine de Poitrine, was already a Beach House fan (and Myth is my favourite of theirs), and I also really liked the Jezabels.

I'm not going to listen to all the further recommendations as it was hard work but since part 1 filled up, people can go again if they want to, and I'll probably dip into some of them.

And my recommendation this time is 'Sugar for the Pill' by Slowdive

The first part up to the guitar solo ... is the part that talks loudest... the guitar bit just seems a little to much contrast... but I guess it was live so he will of been in a certain groove with that bit...

This is the guys who used to be in Op Ivy, Dance Hall Crashers, and Rancid. DR is their new band, RAID is the first single, and it’s a nice traditional ska tune.

Someone needs to make these into playlists so we can listen to them without having to search each one.

I hadn't heard that NIN song before, it was OK, not one of my favourites by them. Never heard of Boy Harsher before but it was good. I really like TV on the Radio already and know both those songs very well.

"Lemon Pound Cake - Afroman

I remember Because I Got High. Not as keen on this one though. "

The story around it is more interesting. The police raided his house after receiving a tip from an informant. They didn't find anything. The behaviour of the police was caught on CCTV so Afroman made a series of songs to get revenge.

Perfect piece of revenge and redress. Not to mention hilarious, " Afroman'll do ya, Afroman'll screw ya!"
