Ooooh… so when does it start…

The opening ceremony starts on Friday….

But when does it “actually” start!!!

Today today today!!!

So… how to watch?? Well the bbc are showing a lot of it… either on the main channels or on the red button!

Anything not being shown there is on TNT sports/ discovery plus

Anyone want to be the fab winter sports expert on a particular sport? Have to say I like the ski jumping and Olympic hockey

So today… mixed curling … broom at the ready!

It's why they moved the six nations match to tomorrow so doesn't clash with opening ceremony

See Italian competitor banned for drugs and gb skeleton team told their helmets were invalid

May try and catch some of the curling

As someone that plays ice hockey i love the Winter Olympics was always a dream to play in it but that never happened for me so I'll stick to being a fan. 😂

My favourite events aside from hockey are:

Curling

Bobsleigh

Skeleton

Ski Jump

Hoping team GB can bring a few golds home 🤞

Also a fan of the figure skating and ice dancing. Not that fussed for the skiing, though.

Holy fek. I just watched the end of the skiathlon. Those guys are incredibly fit. The guy that won decimated his group with about 1km to go, I couldn’t run up that hill as fast as he skied up it. Then he played to the crowd when he was in the home straight. ⛷️

"Curling seems to be the most sport coverage on the bbc but have been watching TNT for the ice hockey."

The bbc are legally only allowed to show 2 live events at any given time (so they split it 1 on the main and 1 on the red button) … everything else is owned by WBD .. so they use to show everything else on Eurosport.. until it got merged into TNT sports

Fun fact 1: BBC are allowed to show 3 live events at a time for the summer Olympics… so it will probably be 1 on a main channel.. 1 on BBC 3 and 1 on the red button

Fun fact 2: the streaming rights that WBD currently own which are shown on TNT sports at the moment… are being folded into the new HBO max from next month (we will all have to download another app for mobile phones! lol)

Anyway.. nerd alert over.. back to sport!

"Curling seems to be the most sport coverage on the bbc but have been watching TNT for the ice hockey.

No that's good info that's why they keep coping and changing on the iplayer channels but it is frustrating when you watching and get told we are going over to BBC1

"I've only been watching mens hockey's. Canada for gold or I'll eat my hat!

I’ll tune it for the inevitable Canada vs USA gold medal game .. should be a good one "

Think it is on at 13-10 final but will be going to watch Whitley warriors play on Sunday so might not catch all the gold medal final.

Loving the winter olypmics, dont know why but find it a lot more interesting than the summer.

Personal i've enjoyed the snowboarding most, but its amazimg how much you can get into watching most of it once you start. Only thing im prone to turning off/over is the figure skating otherwise i just have the bbc coverage running as puch as possible in the background

couple, us we him her.

Was watching the ski mountaineering yesterday. Absolutely mental.

The ladies jumping not the big one but the one where they basically go vertical and do flip's and land usually kneeing themselves in the face.

Fucking crackers

You never know as some games later have been closer than the bookies have the teams.

Even with Crosby being injured for Canada I still think they’re unstoppable

Canada 🇨🇦 progress but had to work hard for it and feel sorry for Finland that they could not take it into OT.

Ive been 'watching' the games in a fever dream on the sofa whilst ill. Half sleeping to a backdrop of all the shouting and sweeping of the curling, or people hurling themselves down a frozen waterslide. Has been quite surreal
