my sunburn is getting increasingly painful, and after a trip to the hospital earlier it would seem I have a touch of sun stroke....feel like crap!

I've come over all emotional, I'll snap out of it shortly, but in the meantime....can anyone spare a huggle?

Ouch !! Are you very fair skinned then? Don't need much sun to burn like the last sausage on the barbie.

3rd degree? Thats the most severe degree of burn you can get often burning through tissue fat and muscle???

blisters, skin peeled off, weeping, the lot

I did have sun block on, factor 15, it was under 20 degrees celsius, I wasnt out in it long, I just have very fair skin, that was already damaged from extreme sunburn from when I was little.

I also looked after the burns with aloe Vera gel and such, seems I was just unlucky, it'll heal...

it's not the most severe I don't think, mine could be worse...but yes, have slightly burnt through my skin and frazzled the tissue underneath, not harmed my muscle though, so was lucky, burns are too deep to be classed as 2nd degree apparently

Sunstroke is horrible.

I've been burnt (I can burn in ten mins) but never as badly as that!

Fluids, paracetamol and possibly rehydration salts (dioralyte). I'll reserve hugs till you're a bit more healed.
