If we get one, great, if we don't - what the heck.

We don't display them anyway so it makes no odds. It's always nice for someone to let you know they had a good time, but hey ho, who gives a bugger

In our experience on here we have only received one verification for every 3 or 4 meets we have had, many people just dont bother with them. So we dont expect them anymore

Once you have one or two verifications the rest are meaningless.

Spot on, it's a bonus.

If you start to expect things then when they don't materialise noses get put out of joint, which seems to be a common thought within the thread

Not really. They can give an insight into what others thought or what others felt they should putor what they told downright lies about or just the best bits and perhaps not the awful things that happened. After all ... a verification , no matter how good doesn't mean someone has to see you again. I like reading them too they can have bearing on my final decisions but nothing will ever overide my ability to sum someone up.

er...guess

The real problem with verifications is that they're scattered around like confetti - presumably in the hope of a reciprocal verification. Even 'met and played with' verifications are, like club reviews, subjective at best. That's before you get to the bit about the recipient being able to pick and choose which ones to show.

Then we move onto the threads about people trying to withdraw verifications ........

I don’t expect verifications and I don’t ask for them… what’s the point I don’t show them.

I also don’t verify everyone I meet just because I’ve met them… not much point in maintaining my own privacy on my profile if I disregard it on other people’s.

When reading ‘play’ verifications I do so with a pinch or two of salt… who’s gonna write “Any hole is a goal and today it was you… thanks”… of course people will be flattering… they might be short of options one day and need to come back lol.

On a personal note… if someone does show their verifications, I am always more impressed with a few select verifications from people who have met someone a number of times. Firstly it means they were worth going back to and secondly shows they are reliable over a period of time… rather than a one-off effort.

Those can come across as no more than a mutual appreciation society. I sometimes wonder if the meet actually took place or if there was simply an agreement to bump each others' tally.

Verifications can and are easily faked by many people on here, hence we take them all with a little pinch of salt.

Anyone who chooses to read anything more than "this person/these people are genuine, we know as we have met them" into a verification really are quite naive. And even then there are no real guarantees.

We don't feel a need to hide our verifications, these are people we have met, we happily met with them and we have no problem with folk knowing this.

I don't meet many people to be honest. More into quality than quantity, though more than 1 person at a time is great too PMSL. I don't feel comfortable leaving feedback for someone I didn't "click" with. I'm a nice person but I don't like to fanny around the bush as it were, trying to find nice words to describe a session which wasn't great for either of us. I am quite happy showing my feedback, why be on a bloody "swingers","slappers" website AND be shy, to me they are complete opposite sides of the spectrum.

I may come back to the 'slappers' comment... or I may just leave that for someone else.

However, with regards to the comment about being shy... people choosong to not show their verifications is nothing to do with being shy. Why do you need to know who I have met?

well i bet the slappers comment just cut down his opportunitys greatly unless its to meet him to slap him seein how we are slappers!!

i may be a slapper but im a fussy one and i wouldnt do him with a syphillis infected lady area!!!

wow.... bet he is regretting the slappers comment now... but hey... thanks for the true insight!!!

Anyway.. back to verifications...

I only show the ones that I am confortable with anyway... and for me if I don't feel duely oblieged to give verification... I think I have been lucky where I have found people I would WANT to actually give them...

if people decide to verify me, that cool.. if not, I'll live... as someone said above me a few posts back... it a bonus! I don't feel the need to be in some sort of popularity contest

" I am quite happy showing my feedback, why be on a bloody "swingers","slappers" website AND be shy, to me they are complete opposite sides of the spectrum.

I may come back to the 'slappers' comment... or I may just leave that for someone else.

However, with regards to the comment about being shy... people choosong to not show their verifications is nothing to do with being shy. Why do you need to know who I have met?"

I agree with you with regards to seeing who other people have been with and vice versa.

As for the "slappers" comment? Comes as no surprise really I think a few single men think that hence the "been here couple of hours and not had a shag yet" posts we get on a daily basis, along with the "looking to shag your wife but I wouldn't swing if I were married" comments posted. Deep down some feel women are just that: slappers!

Can't see em lining up to play with you anytime soon!

For that to happen people would need to stop insisting their way means something or proves something... which it doesn't.

I do not mind bad verifys -just honest ones - if one meets - then one has gone to a lot of trouble - can expect a verify that takes 30 secs surely

brings up an interested situation..

okay.... can i play devils advocate just because i am in grumpy old man mode...

not just for you... but for all of the people who gave the same opinion as you

Say if you enjoyed a meet and verified then... and as you said it would be manners not to send you one back... so they send you one back and it wasn't as glowing as you thought it would be (so you enjoyed the meet more than they did!)

would you actually show it????

just curious....

I am sure you don't mean to imply that you have put yourself out by meeting someone and therefore 'expect' something to show for it.

works for me... but apparently we are all duty bound to write them something....

mind you if someone gets annoyed because of the small fact they didn't write you a verification when you had written them one, I would be temepted to suggest they take there swinging just a tiny bit too seriously.....

It's suppose to be fun!!!!

in the grand scheme of things... it is really worth the blip on the radar that some people seem to give it....

At the end of the day it is a nice bonus that someone takes the time to give a verification it means we did something right lol but I dont think we would want a profile that was full of them it would take far to long for folks to get to our pics lol

Sorry to burst your bubble (so to speak) but according to some bits of this thread it doesn't mean you did something right... it means they sent you one because they are expecting one back.... which kind of devalues verifications even more.

i think a return visit speaks more than a perfunctionary verification. kind of like writin a thank you letter to the dotty aunty for the second hand box of hankies! but in sayin that people who been here for donkeys but have no verifications i do tend to avoid! x

Ok fair enough that can be the case, we have in the past had someone leave a fake verification in the hope that they would get one back (we did report it) as i said before we get 1 verification for every 3 or 4 meets its no biggie for us if we get one or not but we often find that the people who have left us one do want to meet again thats why i said we must have done something right i should have made that clear sorry x

Yes we spotted 1 only the other day and must admit having a good old laugh about it as the person who had recieved it had put a reply to it in the status part of the profile.

"how dare people can say im rude, all the hospitality that i gave them cuppa tea n vodka n for their woman,"

It was so funny we even unblocked the person so we could read it all.
