We seem to live in a society where you can’t go or buy anything without being hounded for feedback whether it’s by email, text or phone call. I appreciate some businesses are trying to want ratings to further their advertising appeal but it’s incessant . From the GP, dentist, optician, online shopping…I feel I’m bombarded constantly by people wanting ‘feedback’!

Does this irritate anyone else or am being a bit highly strung ? lol

Yep it’s all to do with social media standing and Google representation. I always asked my sports club members to provide reviews and feedback etc. Hardly anyone would oblige unless I provided an incentive, free session, book token etc… I gave up long ago and generally only feed back when the ‘experience’ has been shite!

I’ve asked for a ‘review’ on previous profiles to people’s amusement

? Well you have to give your email etc obviously when you buy something, or stay in a hotel etc

And GP, dentist etc have your details.

Getting asked to rate my visit to the surgery every time I give blood is a recent thing and is a bit unecessary

After I took my car for MOT, the garage had the nerve to not only request feedback but please make sure I put 5 star as it affects their bonus….

I didn’t leave any on principle

It's too much for too little in return. Eg, a business with millions of customers offering a chance to win a 50 quid voucher -off an unspecified value future purchase. 1 in a million chance, no thanks.

These businesses should invest in independent research and respond to it appropriately by investing in staff and services.

At the end of these things when it says "is there anything else you would like to add and we may contact you for further follow up" I just say I am from Venezuela and then they don't bother me again lol Mx

We were just talking about this. We don't do feedback any more. If we get great service we tell them in person if we get bad service we tell them in person .
