Sex drive and the menopause

Hi all,

This is mainly aimed at the ladies on the site who are either going through the menopause or have been through it,

My wife is going through it right now and has no sex drive at all (I have always had a high sex drive) but we’ve made it work for a long time.

For a couple of years now we have little sex but mutual play and wanks/fingering at the weekend.

My question to the ladies is, does it come back as I don’t want my wife to feel pressured into playing with me, as she never initiates activity at all.

So when I started my menopause at around 50 I started HRT. I was prescribed oestrogen, but my libido had plummeted. Read up on it & discovered that we also require testosterone as that hormone also depletes. I then insisted on having that prescribed as part of my HRT & my libido thus skyrocketed! TF!

Yes, I lost my libido for about 4 years while I was trying to get my hrt right. It does come back, but definitely get to the drs to discuss testosterone levels, if the drs don’t do it, a large Superdrug shop will for a price

Nobody will be able to tell you whether or not your wife's sex drive will come back

I'm on the Oestrogel, I didnt lose my sex drive, but my mood swings are horrendous. They are better than they were. I think I'd prefer no sex drive to the mood swings.

It's good to see you're supportive OP, reassurance goes a long way.

Women are all individuals op, they're experiences won't all be the same.

I'm peri menopausal now and my meet mojo has upped and left.

I am trying varuous different treatments, we don't know what will happen to your wife's drive unfortunately and nor does she at the moment.

I had a man ask me why I wasn't meeting the other day, when I explained, he said maybe the right kiss would bring my mojo back or that lots of more mature ladies seem to regain it.

It irritated me a fair bit, as if he knew me better than I do, if only it was that simple.

Just be supportive op, I'm not sure what she's done or tried already, but there's a good few things out there that can help from hrt to herbal things.

Extra estrogen worked for me. As others have said, it's different for everyone.

Maybe it isn't just the menopause though.

Your here, showing your cock to anyone, that shit isn't a turn on for the person at home, lies, distractions, deceit strangely doesn't make us wet.

Maybe guys should be more supportive to the wives it's not their fault it's one of those things

Wonder how many guys who couldn't get it upto more would be happy to know their wife was on fab getting it elsewhere

Glasgowish

The menopause passed by me unnoticed and my sex drive has never been higher. Guess I was just lucky.
