Worcestershire

Mine was a white 1969 Morris Minor. I passed my test in 1979…yes I’m old 🤣

It had no radio. The main beam could be activated by pressing a button underneath the clutch! And it had a starting handle… high tech.

I was still in the 6th form at school and my schoolmates found the registration number highly amusing - SHA 193G 🤣🤣🤣

Tell us about yours….

A K Reg Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6 Expression. I hadn't passed my test at the time.and had it to "practice". Bought it in about 2009

Head gasket exploded before I passed my actual test so it never saw.much use 😂

1973 Mini Panelvan with no floor. I had plates welded under it and then fibreglassed the whole driver and passenger floor area and painted it.

Then I hardly ever used it, because I met my wife, and she had a pocket rocket Opel Kadett and we went everywhere in that. 🤣

Morris Marina 1.3 Coupe in signal red, with beige velour interior. (Rear wheel drive)!

Spotless motor, it was my pride and joy. Unfortunately it didn't respond well, when I accelerated hard coming off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway. A 180 degree spin, clipped the nearside curb and rolled three times down the embankment.

The end!!

Removed the bumpers, rebuilt and fitted a 1.3L engine, twin Webber carburettor, customised my own exhaust system. Was fun while it lasted, until it got nicked.
