I know that the kink community is chock full of neurodiverse folks, I've noticed that here on fab there's also evidence of the prevalence of neurospicy behaviour. The forum titles alone can be a giveaway. I'm autistic myself and interested to see who else might be on the spectrum. How comfortable are you about being open with it? Do you feel it contributes to your enjoyment here? How do neurotypicals feel when they meet neurodiverse people? And why can't I end this description... go 🤦‍♂️

I'm ADHD with autistic traits...I like it and I am at the age where I embrace it. I cant change it and why would I want too. To see the world through my eyes means seeing things neurotypicals may miss...

I Know some dont 'get' me and tbh I don't care... I focus on those who do

Absolute bollocks- the world would be a boring place if we were all the same, there is nothing new about this, no matter what term you use for it!

That's my attitude too, I'm aware of my alleged oddities and embrace them fully. I was diagnosed in my 30s and suddenly everything made more sense.

The understanding of it is new but its OK if you missed that memo. The clue was in the thread title. Thank you for your interaction.

"How do neurotypicals feel when they meet neurodiverse people? And why can't I end this description..."

As a neurotypical I feel mostly, on the whole, no different when interacting with neurodiverse people.

I will be brutally honest, however, they do try my patience to a minor degree. Perhaps it isn't my patience that is tested but my resolve and stimulus because I appreciate them whilst at the same time they are aware of my minor disquiet. I'm referring to people that I have met from here - socially and sexually, because most that land into my inbox and my bed are rarely neurotypical.

They seem to keep me on my toes. It's all good.

I’m not sure I’ve met any neuro diverse people.

I don’t really want to to be honest. I deal with it at home every single day of my life and I see this is a bit of an escape so if I knew I probably wouldn’t meet them.

I love the honesty of that Nero, I know how I can test patience at times.

A fair and honest response, thank you.

It's liberating isn't it. I'm lucky as well as my work place is very supportive, they let me be authentically me and it means a lot as being ND it can be hard to fit and find your place with your people

I've had that now for about 18 months, I'm allowed and encouraged to be myself, in fact it's encouraged because of the job role, my alternate way of seeing things keeps them on their toes. Plus when I'm happy I waddle like Charlie Chaplin and apparently it's cute 😂🤣
